Fucking auction politics, anyone?

I say we just stop spending on anything not related to defending the Republic.

I say $30

At 30 per hr a gallon of milk would be what $15 bucks, an eggs $7.50 a dozen? Hell yes lets go that route, cause we need more homeless living in the big citys. That would put the average 2wd truck over 100K an home at 3-400K. Sounds good to me, vote that shit in quickly,...

Ask her if this minimum applies to military personnel too..That would mean that an entry recruit's base pay BEFORE OVERTIME or BENEFITS would be $3200 per month. ($20 x 40 x 4=3200). I'm pretty sure base pay for an E-1 at recruit level is a bit less than that.

The base pay for an E-1 when I last checked (10 minutes ago) was $1599.99. I'm pretty sure all the E-1's would enjoy the rain in pay. I would most certainly enjoy watching her squirm as she tries to tell us all why military people willing to risk their lives for us are worth less than someone at a fast food place with less than a high school equivelancy education. And there are plenty of democrats who would turn on her over that issue.

From Margaret Thatcher: " The problem with Socialism is that you eventually run out of other peoples' money. " And AOC thought NYC was going to get 3 Billion after stopping Amazon from moving there, and what is her Degree in?

Why stop there? How about $50, $100, $500? Eventually the answer is: the business couldn't afford it. Of course, that answer applies at any artificial level these morons propose. The market could determine the correct level, if the political half-wits would just leave it alone.

This is legitimately what they want.

I think there may be a way around paying minimum wage. Make the low value workers contractors, not employees. Let the contractors be responsible for their taxes and benefits. This just popped into my head and I haven't thought it through, but it just may work.

Isn't that the way Uber works? Didn't the left recently protest on behalf of regular taxi drivers? Seems Uber drivers were under cutting them.

Either way, there will be massive unemployment in this country if this actually happens nationwide.

I don't know how uber works. We went to Nashville last week and used Lyft. 1st time I'd needed to pay someone to take me anywhere in a very long time. You're probably right on how that sector works. I have no idea what a taxi costs, as I live in a world where I don't need them. I thought the prices were low. Too low to be able to maintain the vehicle and have much left over.

i don't eat a lot of fast food anyway, but the fuck if i'm gonna pay 10 bucks for a cheeseburger.
and why would anyone be an EMT or other stressful job if they could make more as a greeter at walmart?
Thats what it costs now. It would be $20 a cheesburger if minimum wage went up.

It does work, many are employed that way in many places. You are not required to pay contractors except per the contract. If they want to work 40 hrs for 300.00 bucks thats on them not you.
