You're welcome, you will like the new WASP.

Re: TNVC Announces the WASP NV Clip-On Device

I'm in. I'm calling Monday morning.
I've got to have one!!
I want one with the Litton tube.

Can anybody give me a decent recommendation for optics behind the Wasp on a SIG 716 Patrol rifle. Real Estate is a little limited.

What would you're preference be? ACOG?, BROWE?, IOR 1.5-5x34?. I like that new GENII Vortex Razor. Suggestions?? The sole purpose of this rig is sneaking up on feral pigs feeding on trails at ranges of 40 yards mas o menos.

On the 700 PSS, I plan to run it in front of a Leupold MK4 3.5-10x40 M2s lit reticle. This will be a tower gun taking out pigs at ranges of 150 to 300 yards.

Both rigs are suppressed!

Re: TNVC Announces the WASP NV Clip-On Device

And to think I almost bought the ATN PS22 3P for the same $

This is the game changer in the war on pigs.
2013 will be a record year for swine KIAs in SO TX.
No more fumbling around with the PVS 14

Re: TNVC Announces the WASP NV Clip-On Device

Am I blind, don't see it on their site under clip ons. Was curious if they settled on a MSRP and if there were pictures of what the sight-picture at 400+ yards looked like.

Re: TNVC Announces the WASP NV Clip-On Device

Lot of info on the specs.....but the battery life is not there, why are you leaving that out?

What is the battery life?

Taking through the tube pics is VERY difficult to say the least due to how ugly pics can be vs. the real image especially through 2 pieces of glass. Even the 50 yard pic above I took looked terrible vs. the raw image amd I was hesitant to even show this.

You hardly ever see though the tube images from FLIR and L3 in respect to the PVS-22 and CNVD-LR due to this as well. While others have shown long range pics through the tube of these units, (us included)they never look that good.

Hope this helps.

Morovision does have it listed on their site though with the MSRP:

Is morovision working with TNVC to come up with the WASP? I am anxiously awaiting more info on when this unit will be available!

Re: TNVC Announces the WASP NV Clip-On Device

Morovision is one of our TNVC distributors on this product.

Thanks Victor, I didn't realize that. I guess I always think of companies being in competition with each other.

Either way I can't wait to purchase one as I have been saving up my $!

Many might think that, that is ok...

But we here at TNVC work with many others in the NV industry. They sell our products and we sell theirs as well. The ones we work with assured are the absolute BEST in the industry at what they do along with the most respectfulness to others as well. (That is key in our eyes). Some of our partners have been in the NV arena for a lot longer than we have and we all have an outstanding relationship and we all also have something special to offer to our customers.

Re: TNVC Announces the WASP NV Clip-On Device

Just called Morovision and spoke with michael, he said only one model available. 4995$ ITT tube said ther looking at a delivery time of 30 to 60 days. No deal off of regular price for pre-orders looks like.

Vick, when will the L3 model be available for "pre order" and do you have its "deal" price?

We did not leave this out intentionally as with most NV devices in print. Usual run time is 34-42 hours based on environmental conditions and battery used.

Not as yet. So folks know, the slight delay we're experiencing is the Larue mount that we include on the WASP. Everything else has been ready to go....The fine folks at Larue as most know are some VERY busy folks in the mount manufacturing business and with the war on terror and general demand itself in the overall firearms industry nowadays is causing some delays.

We still plan on having a pre-order special price for the WASP's, nothing has changed. :)

Does ADM or Bobro offer a similar mount or is LaRue the only place to get a mount that fits?

Is there a reasonable expected delivery date from LaRue for you to turn these around? How about shipping the WASP units that have already been purchased out minus the mounts and follow up with the mounts when they are supplied by LaRue? We could use any Compact ACOG mount in the meantime.

Forgive the stupid question......I know very little about NV gear.

How far can you identify targets from through an optic like this. At 12xs can I see targets as well as I would through a scope without a clip on attached?

This all depends on the size the target. Case in point, I can see power line towers through my PVS-14 at over 2000m. In the case with the WASP, I can shoot a 14" steel plate at 400+ at 10-12x with no issues. Hope this helps a bit.

Vic, will illumination of some sort help with this kind of unit? How far out could you push that 400 + yards too with the correct illumination. I really dont know if this is the correct question as I dont know anything about NV. just asking

Indeed, our TNVC Torch Pro that reaches out to 800 yards + is always immensely helpful with all NV devices to extend your range in which you can see and shoot at. As I mentioned target size also plays a big part as there is only a finite amount of resolution a NV device produces that enables you to see at night no matter how good the tube or system. It's a bit different at night looking through a NVD vs. a day scope during the day. :)

Have any units shipped yet? What is the pre-order price and when do you expect to ship the first units Vic?

I recently purchased a PVS-22 but will trade or sell for your unit if it's clearer.

JWP seems that question has been asked quite a few times. Getting info on the L3 unit would be like seeing a sasquatch at huskeys while killing hogs. With so many folks asking I figured you would at least get a "we aren't sure on price or ship date". Makes you wonder if something didn't go according to plan...

Yeah Vic said they are waiting on mounts. I wouldn't pre sell them without mounts either, then people would just be unhappy if things take longer because they took their money.

Yep, it didn't go as planned with the war on terror and Larue is backed up....I said it before and will say it again...TROOPS AND LE COME FIRST and Larue is a HUGE supplier of mounts and we wait in line and happy to do it.

With that note, once we do start shipping, our distributors and dealers from Shot Show who ordered will be getting units first. Once that happens we will announce the pre-order pricing for the commercial market Hope this helps. :)

That's cool Vic thanks for the info. Maybe I missed the part about the mounts buried in the thread somewhere. I think offering an l3 unit at or around 5k has folks chomping at the bit to get their hands on one.
