And if you are looking for information, cause you dont' know, I'd tread lightly talking marketing points with the people around here, they are far more keyed in than one might imagine. They might like to play with their food, especially if you offer up an easy meal, so be careful what you wish for. I'm not super-active here. But I've been around here for several years. And I'm a self-described casual rifle marksman who simply likes to strive for precision at longer distances (when / where available).
My 2 "precision" rigs are both solidly in the "budget" category, and I've NEVER encountered any ridicule here. Nobody has laughed at me or told me I need to spend more money for a "better" rig.
Again... who here has said that? Seriously... I've never seen anyone imply that. If I dare make a blanket characterization of this group, I'd say they respect marksmanship, not mere ownership of high-dollar gear.
Even for me... I don't think that will impress many here. Now put 5 rounds touching each other in that rather large (yes large at a mere 100 yards) bottle. My range doesn't allow anything but paper targets.
You'll just have to trust me that there is no "faking" with my targets. That's four rounds in one hole with one (5th shot) "flyer." This rig cost under $1500, if I recall (a friend built it for me). Federal Gold Medal Match 77-gr.
Another 5-shot group, this time with my Ruger Precision Rifle 6.5 Creedmoor (Vortex Viper HST Scope). This rig is under $2000.
At 300 yards with my Ruger Precision Rifle. 1-inch squares on that target. Even if I include the "flyer," it's a 1/2-MOA group. Hornady ELD-M 140-gr.
My point is that I agree with you that you don't need an expensive rig to shoot precisely or accurately. And if I dare speak for the group who also largely agree. The biggest factor is the guy pressing the trigger, eh? But I disagree with your characterization of this forum as a gaggle of snobs. I have definitely not found that to be the case. This group is all about shooter performance, learning, training, practice. Of course, there will be threads about gear. As any hobbyist delves deeper into the hobby / sport, gear becomes a popular topic and often to spending more! But learning with budget gear is a great way to go.

Just a suggestion to tone down the hostility...
If you take the time to do a search for threads on the subject, you'll find that when people ask for what is a good entry level weapon, they will almost always be told something affordable like a Tikka T3X CTR or several other similar brands all in the $1k to $1500 range.
Now maybe you're upset that savage doesn't get brought up much, but consider that there is probably a good reason why.
If you buy one of the often recommended entry level rifles in the $1k to $1500 range you get a known good proven platform with a good success rate out of the box and a rifle ready to go right away and a rifle that can be expanded on easily with aftermarket support and something you won't be quickly needing to upgrade from.
It's like the old joke in the Photography world of telling someone they can save them $500 off a tripod and when they ask how, you tell them to buy the $1k tripod from the start, instead of getting the cheap one and then upgrading step by step until they realize they need the $1k one.
Back in the day long ago before there were a lot of cheap choices, sure if you were poor a Savage might be worth the gamble if you didn't need to run it hard.
The same thing will apply with optics.
I've gone both routes in my life, and will always advise someone towards something I'm pretty sure they won't be quickly wanting to upgrade from as I'd prefer them not to have to learn from experience like I did of buying things only to soon need to sell them at a loss and get what was a better fit for me or a better item.

I've never seen the group think hatred towards a brand like I have with Savage and it's exclusively in this site. I'd bet 75% of them have never even had one in their hands much less shot one. Same shit happens in guitar forums as well.
I've seen one bad review of the gun I bought out of dozens online. It won an award as product of the year in 2021. So tell me, who has more credibility, all the positive reviews from people who have actually had these in their hands, or a bunch of internet harpies in a forum?

Yours wasn't so much a question as it was a veiled shot across the bow about how good your Savage is at 100 yards. A lot of the folks in here are legit LR shooters who actually do know what they're talking about.

He proceeded to insult everyone that didn’t bow down to his drivel even when thrown some concessions and advice. No, all he did was attack with the intent of trolling.

In response to your earlier posts, I wholeheartedly agree that any rifle is a good starting point. I’ve shot, owned (and still do) and shoot with guys that shoot every stock and custom rifle around. In the end, it really is the shooter that makes all the difference.
That said, if I know of a person that is choosing has the wherewithal to afford a solid entry level rifle, I’ll suggest that to save them some grief.

100% if a “savage” is all you can afford then have at it and be proud of it. Better to have more money for ammo then a custom you can’t afford to shoot.
But don’t confuse proud with antagonistic.

OP if you are happy with your setup that's great keep doing you. I tried Savage once, when I first got into longer range shooting (beyond 100yds) I just didn't care for bolt design or the way it ran. I have had Remington 700s, Ruger's, Thompson Center, Tikkas and one AI. For me the AI is second to none, but I love my Tikkas also. If someone ask me about getting into longer range shooting my go to recommendation is a Tikka CTR I personally don't think they can be beat for the money in that price range.
I know this thread is bullshit, my cheap rifles are just as inaccurate as my expensive ones.
