Took the new PSS out today, pics

I have been out of the long range shooting world for the last few years, but managed to pick up a Remington PSS, topped it with a Badger base and rings, with a Falcon 4-14 mil/mil scope. This is all together a very inexpensive rig, but I feel getting back into the sport and purchasing another $4k rig topped with $3k optics doesnt make sense to me at this time in my life.

The rifle had zero rounds thru it, and optics that has been only bore sighted, so I started @ 100 yards, obtaining velocity readings and sighting at the same time. Though I was attempting to break in the barrel with 4-5 shots followd by cleaning, the rifle still managed to hold around 1 MOA.

After zeroing, I moved to 400 and 600 yards on some steel. I had a hard time getting the rifle to group well beyond 400 yards, but first round hits at both ranges where acomplished, it should settle down with a few more rounds down the tube. Here are a few pics of the day.

Looks like a good starter setup. I started out with a 700P and a super sniper. Once I realized how much I liked precision rifles, I went all out, but the 700P was great to start with.

Been there. I went all out as well, owned a Accuracy Int AE, AW, about 8 GAPs, and they always had to be topped with USOs or S&Bs. This is the first "entry level" rig I have had in a long time, still ablast to shoot and great to train on. I'm just glad to be behind the trigger again......
