I was looking at the Hog Saddle and reading about it, pondering getting one, I had read other people say it doesn't clamp down far enough to secure the McRee as it isn't as wide as some of the other Chassis (have not confirmed that as I could not find specs as to the jaw dimensions on their website)....but it dawned on me that I have an aluminum chassis that is mostly hollowed out in the fore-grip area. I drilled and tapped my chassis with 1/4" x 20 threads and attached it directly to my Primos Trigger sticks, but will work with most bi/pod/tri-pod setups with that thread size. Makes for a nice solid shooting platform and the trigger sticks are nice because it deploys quickly and can be set on un-even ground with a grip of the "trigger" Not a bad little set-up and saves a few hundred bucks. (not saying that it is a bad product and I would love to try one....but I already had a tap and a drill bit)
