Precision Rifle Gear Tricer RP Bipod

Has anyone seen the new Tricer RP Bipod at any of the shows? If so what are your thoughts on it?

There seems to be a lot of positives and adjustability for the price point - I'm just curious what people think who have seen it in person.

Tricer RP Bipod

Seems pretty cool and innovative for $300. I will likely try one out.

I’ve used a RRS exclusively in the field for years but this may get me back into a bipod, at times

A quick update from some posts I've seen the past few days.
1. pan/cant are controlled by the same lever - no special lockout but they claim the lever provides enough "lock"
2. the legs can go 90 forward, 45 forward, 90 down, 45 back, and 90 back (supposedly). I haven't seen any video or photos showing this.
3. The legs have 4 splay angles, per the company. I also haven't seen photos or videos of this, just the wide and narrow splay. I was assuming 3 similar to a ckye-pod, it will be interesting to see what the 4th is.
4. the legs are the "inverted" style like some tripods, so it is "righty loosy, lefty tighty".

I just pre-ordered based on what I've found, I hope this is a great addition to the tool box! Going to try it out for a NRL shoot in May and likely use this for hunting in lieu of my old school setup

It can't. It can do full 360 which sucks
It is what it is at this point and I’ll give it a shot but honestly I don’t think anyone really asked for panning. I mean if you were designing it from the ground up at least incorporate a separate pan lock. I’m pretty positive the target audience were NRL Hunter shooters. Why have pan?

Mine showed up today, I'll get it mounted to a rifle in a bit.

Initial thoughts. Deployment is pretty good. Not Ckyepod fast but it's pretty quick if you're used to a tripod. The splay options are easy to use and there are 4 settings.

The pan/cant ball lock seems rock solid without a rifle on it, once a rifle is mounted I could see this possibly being a pain - my ckyepod light has a hard time perfectly locking cant out so it's possibly a wash.

The weight with the long legs is lighter than my lightweight single pull - that's a huge benefit for NRL folks.

The pic rail adapter for a sling stud is stupid easy to use and a nice addition to the package.

Weight shows up at 15.35oz on my scale with either the pic or arca head and either set of feet mounted on the long legs. Both arca / pic heads weight in at 1.85oz

More to come after I can actually mount it up and shoot off it. For the price of it, this will be a hard bipod for most people to beat.

Received mine yesterday and so far the upper leg sections seem well bonded. You can get a very solid pan/cant lockout, no movement.

Getting it to the range tomorrow and will report back.
When you do hit the range loosen it just enough to be able to make micro cant adjustments and then shoot. See if the legs over time start turning. No one has time for cant, lock, shoot each and every time especially at a match.

That's typically how I run my bipods, enough slack in the system to be able to cant a bit when necessary. Will let you know.

I played with one at a show, not on a gun though. It certainly has all the adjustment/functionality you could potentially need. It's half the weight and 1/3 the cost of a triple pull. But Jesus, I just can't imagine trying to adjust the leg length while on the gun is a fast or fun process. I'm curious to see how people like these when they're using them on the clock.

It does seem about perfect for a hunting application at least.

Lengthening legs is about the same speed as setting up a tripod. Not blazing fast if you are anything but prone.

Changing the splay angle is super quick and easy however

I bought this for hunting. For the weight these are at, I would not expect one to survive multiple NRL seasons under hard use. Not to say you can't use it for that. Just being realistic about the durability

So put about 60 rounds on it at the range, and I was actually impressed with performance. Legs didn't fall off. 😂

I put about 20 rounds on it from seated, full extension just to test out stability. With the pan/cant at the tension I like for cant adjustments, the pan wasn't bothersome at all. I actually found it helpful with tripod rear because if my tripod wasn't in just the correct position, I could adjust pan a little instead of mucking about trying to move the tripod.

Anyway, just some first impressions. I'm happy with it so far, even the pan.
