Trigger for a Rem 700

I have a Remington 700 sps and want to replace the trigger. I've heard good things about "Timney Triggers" I have what I call a two stage trigger in my Savage 110 ba 338 and it's really great. would like to upgrade the 700 to the same two stage style if its possible. Any suggestions

Huber concepts. I have a timney as well and its a huge improvement over the stock xmark pro. Since selling my ar lower with a geiselle ssa-e I've been missing the feeling of that oh so clean take up with a light snap of the second stage.

I have a Timney that I love I also have an old rem tuned to about 2.5 lbs but you can´t beat the quality vs the price IMHO Timney hands down.

I have to agree the Timneys are great. The Remmy factory trigger was designed by lawyers not gunsmiths.

+1 for the Timney 510. Once I installed it, I never looked back.

I just installed mine on my 700 and it took les than 10 mins and it was night and day difference. Get one, you will not be disappointed.

Off topic, but do you mind if I ask what two-stage you're running on your Savage? Or are you referring to the Accutrigger?

I have four timney triggers. I love them all. But may be a little heavy. If you want something in the 1 pound range, go with a Jewell. You will be much happier

I love my CG xtreme 2 stage trigger. Expensive but totally worth it.

i have schillen in both of my 700's, (90$ each) they take some tinkering to get set how you like em' but there crisp and as light as you want.

my timney 510 is head and shoulders better than the stock rem xmark. i think you'll be very happy with it.

I didn't like the razor thin shoe on my Shilen so I swapped it with a Timney and while it doesn't get quite as light as the Shilen, it's worlds more comfortable and still has a very reasonable pull weight.

The Timney is also adjustable and I was able to get the pull weight right where I wanted it(always leave creep and sear engagement alone) but during function checks I was having issues with the firing pin not resetting so instead of toeing the line, I backed it off to 2.5, loctited it and left it alone.

I agree the remington 40x trigger is great if you can find them but I love my Timney hands down.
