I'am planning to upgrade the trigger on my Bergara that i use primarly for hunting.

I already have a timney calvin elite on a custom build bolt action rifle.

Now should i buy a second timney elite in order to have the same trigger on both rifles or is there so less difference between the top triggers that it won't make a difference what one i buy. Another possibility is to move the timney to the bergara and upgrade the trigger on the custom rifle.
Somehow i like the idea to have the same trigger on both rifles.

I can get the following triggers (for nearly the same price)
- Timney Calvin Elite
- Drengr Axe
- Bixn Andy SportTac

Thanks
Daniel

I swapped my B14 HMR factory trigger out for a TrggerTech Special and set it to 2.8 lbs., felt a whole lot lighter than the factory trigger, no more creep, broke like glass. I recently also swapped out the bolt to a Bergara Premier Short Action bolt for the lighter firing pin and spring, the gas shield, beefier shroud, and fluting which is great for dry, dusty areas; now the TriggerTech Special has me grinning from ear to ear every time one of my buddies shoots my HMR - it's fun to watch when the lights come on and the first thing I hear is "I've got to get me one of these!"

The Calvin elite is great. Only shot the 2 stage though.

My factory had a bit of creep and was still 3 lbs.

I haven't been that impressed with trigger tech yet, but I may try one. I think bix & Andy is next on my list.

Hijacking this thread: searching for replacement trigger groups, I read: "Timney Triggers are designed to work with Remington 700 actions. The Bergara rifles use a heavier firing pin spring that limits pull weight adjustability. "

What's your experience with this? How far from the minimum 8 oz of the Calvin Elite does the Bergara perform?
