I just cant seem to get use to my SPS-V trigger. Just wondering what two stage trigger is the best buy for my rifle.

No play in the trigger at all, its pretty much a On Off button and requires quite a bit of force. If two stage is not the solution, what are my other options?

You need to define what your requirements are.
Most users of bolt action precision rifles prefers no takeup or creep, a crisp break at their preferred weigt and almost no overtravel. The weigt you choose will need to be based on your intended use. If it's a benchrest gun, the weight can be a couple ounces since those guns are not carried when loaded. If it's a tactical rifle, around 2.5-3 lbs is the norm. Your SPS-V trigger is probably in the 5-6 lb range as it came from the factory.
Select a purpose, then weight, then trigger for that purpose.
I have mostly used old style factory triggers. That is what I have on my personal 700. I have a factory 40x on my 40XB that I will be tinkering with soon. They are both exeptable field/tactical triggers.

Didn't even see that group buy going on. Thanks for the heads up. At under 300, I'm willing to give one a shot. Always wanted to try one but never got the nerve to drop almost 400 on a trigger, when I get two Jewells shipped for that.

I still like my Jewells on the BAT varmint guns but I'm loving the two-stage Hubers on my KMW Surgeon 308 and GAP 700 223.
Try one (or two) and you won't be disapointed.

The only really other alternative 2 stage trigger is a CG Mod 22. My CG breaks just as well as any other single stage trigger and i personally like the 1st stage take up and the distinct pause in between the 1st and 2nd stage, it allows me to go ahead an take up the 1st stage and hold it till i am ready to break my shot, if i had the coin i would drop a CG in my wifes gun as well.

If you want a single stage, the Jewell is great: HVR if you need a safety. The CG Jackson is a great 2-stage trigger. It is a little more pricey than the Jewell, but can't be beaten if you want a 2-stage. The CG Jackson is a favorite of many highpower shooters. But I think the Jewell is still the top choice among tactical shooters.
