First post. Anyway I ended up getting a great deal on a new Accupoint 1-6 with the circle cross reticle. I am just getting into 3-gun, but primarily just to keep sharp with my tools. I am active duty LEO for 19 1/2 years. My work rifle is a colt m4 10.5” with H2 Aimpoint. I picked up a vortex strike eagle 1-8 for my Daniel defense m4v11. I really didn’t like it. Mainly being used to a red dot, I wanted something with a a bigger eye box. I tried a Trijicon Accupoint 1-4 triangle a few months ago on a friend rifle and really liked it. Anyway picked up the circle cross reticle and glass is great, reticle is clear, but I am a little disappointed there are no holdover marks. The Accupoint was easy to zero and set turrets so I sighted it in at 100 yards. Just curious about anyone else’s experience with that reticle. I could dial in elevation easy enough and probably won’t be shooting over 300 yards where I live anyway. Sorry for the long intro. I probably should have held out for a different reticle, but this was on sale for $800. I have never had glass this clear so either way I am glad I bought it, just couldn’t find any reviews on it with the circle cross. Thanks!

XTR2
I probably could sell it. The reticle is great for accurate shots at closer range. I’m just looking to hear from anyone else who has used that reticle.
I ended up going with a Burris XTR2 1-5 after trying that exact scope. For 3 gun as well. It is heavier, but that's because it has extra features like zero stop, tactical turrets , and built to handle abuse.

I suggest you look check in out . The reticle choices are in ballistic drop or mils with mil adjustments. BRIGHT ! As in brighter than an Aimpoint - Eotech bright.

Since it's been out for a while the prices have dropped big time. I've seen below $700...

My favorite optic for 3 gun is the Trijicon AccuPower 1-8. It's awesome glass with nice size holdover marks for 3 gun. I made a load to match the 0.5 mil marks every 50 yards from 300 to 600. The illumination is very bright for close / bay targets and the optic is extremely forgiving of head position for really weird shit we do in 3 gun sometimes. It's very sturdy and I have had zero issues with it as a 3 gun / PRS training rifle. I think the AccuPoint series is more targeted towards the hunting crowd than the 3 gunners. The glass like you mentioned is great but the reticle leaves something to be desired for 3 gun.

Yes. The accupower reticle in an Accupoint would be perfect. Is the glass on the Accupower better or about the same as the Accupoint in your opinion?

I actually have a Burris MTAC on a different AR with a similar reticle. I think the MTAC was clearer glass than the strike eagle 1-8, but still not like the Trijicon. Is the XTR ii 1-5 a big step up from the MTAC
The glass is about the same between the AccuPoint 1-6 and AccuPower 1-8. Both are leaps and bounds ahead of the Burris XTRII which I also had and am glad I upgraded.
