So I’m not new to reloading, but I’m also not crazy experienced. I just built a 300 Ham’r and plan to start reloading that. I’ve got the chop saw and jig to cut the case roughly to size, but how do I do the final trim? I’ve been using the caliber specific Lee quic trim setup that attaches to my drill, but I don’t see the Ham’r as an option there yet. Any suggestions?

You should be able to use any 30 cal trimmer that indexes based on overall length, like the RCBS trim pro, henderson, or any mini lathe style trimmer. I have no first hand experience with 300 Ham r, but based off the saami drawing, its a tiny shoulder and you may not have the best luck with shoulder based case trimmers.

If you want to stick with the Lee, you may be able to make it work with a 300 black trim die. It's not going to be an exact fit, but may be close enough to bodge it.

Price and speed will dictate the best trimmer for you. I prefer one that has a three way head on it, so I don't have to chamfer and debur in seperate steps.

Thank you. Been doing a ton of homework today and was thinking of trying the Frankford Arsenal trimmer, but your shoulder size point has me second guessing that now.
