One thing that is overlooked by most is the fact that Jack Smith used a DC judge and grand jury to rig the investigation into the documents at Mar A Largo case. The "crime" was committed in FL, but he used the deep state judicial system to rig the investigation and then filed the charges in FL, the place where he should have been all along.
There is no reason for a state like TN to remain in the union if a corrupt New York City DA can drag you into their kangaroo court. Or if a corrupt federal prosecutor can use the corrupt DC system to indict you for something you did in your home state.

So that's the basic part: he knew that he lost the election and spread lies to convince the public that he didn't lose. And DOJ basically says that's not the illegal part; some of the lies are protected speech, and...

But he also tried unlawful means, and that's what he's being charged for.

- Create and formally submit fake electors in targeted states
- Use DOJ to tell the states to announce sham investigations ("Just say it was corrupt and leave the rest to me and my Republicans in congress")
- Convince Pence to fraudulently alter the election count in Congress
- Use the violence at the Capitol to further pressure lawmakers and Pence to alter the count
An important part of this is that the DOJ feels that they can prove that they knew what they were doing was wrong, that they knew they lost the election, and that they knew they were spreading lies as part of the plan...

2nd) No Court heard any Cases... No Merit and dismissed.. Even the supreme court said they would push the elector issues past the inauguration ... They said No Merit.
So no one heard the cases.
IF the Election Results were Challenged like they were supposed too then the electors would have been needed to Fullfil the Role? No?
