I live a little over an hour from the border. Trust me; we don’t want Mexico. Lots of very nice people, but also some real shitbags. Ive traveled a lot and have friends in Mexico. Went to a birthday party and got sick from something I ate. My friends Mom put me up in her house and took care of me for 3 days while I recovered. Some of the finest people I know. Ive been invited many time to come and stay with folks I just met.
But they do not know freedom as we do simply because they come from a different system and have never known it. Thats why they come here. Honestly, I cant blame them. The whole system is geared to keep the poor, poor. the Spanish raped the land of most of its natural resource. they do have huge reserves of oil and natural gas, but so do we.
The only way to stop it is to enforce the border with no compromise. If youre caught here illegally, you go directly to jail. youre children are seized and cared for until youre, very quickly deported, then they go with you. How in the world do you conclude that I support open borders? I’m saying that it’s literally impossible for Mexico to stop all illegal immigration from Mexico. The US can’t do it. How is Mexico supposed to do it? And the escalating tariff isn’t imposed conditioned on Mexico making an effort or stopping caravans. It’s an openly unreasonable terminating condition. That doesn’t make me an open borders advocate. I’ll tell you what I do think, and that’s the only way to hold a piece of land is to put a man on it. Vastly increasing the number of border patrol agents would be effective and it’s a job creator. Walls and tariffs aren’t going to get it done. They are empty gestures aimed at continuing the problem so the politicians can continue to leverage it for reelection.
There are plenty of agents already. The problem is not how many agents there are the problem is what their orders are. If I were president their orders would be that they were to shoot to kill every invader. I would pardon anyone who followed orders and fire anyone who did not. I would stop the flow of illegals in 24 hours.
