Trying to find a dealer for Saiga 12 Taktika

Trying to locate an American FFL dealer or company that carrys the Saiga 12 Taktika 040.
My local FFL that orders stuff in for me can't find the Taktika (I beleive this means "tactical" in Russian but I am not willing to stick my neck out and say that's what it means without validation.
I'm going to get one, just need to know where and if anyone has one let me know what you think of it. I heard they did a mod to magazine well and mag release and it's a straight in insertion and not the in and rock back like the typical AK.
Any info would be appreciative....Thanks...

im pretty sure you have to do the conversion yourself on that one with at least 3 (i think) US parts. i dont think they can be imported in that configuration. there are a couple guys out there doing magwells for saiga 12s.

as far as I know they cant import the tactical version, either way save yourself some money and buy a stock one and do the conversion, they are super easy!

My understanding is that they cannot be imported in that configuration.

Get with Tromix or one of the many other companies offering coversions and get one built up to what you want it to be.

Cool. Thanks for the info. I'll just order a plain Saiga 12 in the 19" version. Is there any other particular specs that I should opt for or just order plain jane?
Thanks again. I have seen the Tromix websight before. I guess I will be working with them. I'm wanting to do it myself but I will need some parts to help speed the process up. Hoping to make a tricked out one that is done right and very usable.

Here's a tutorial thread I did over on the Saiga forum. I started with a plain jane and did all the work myself. Not that hard really. Just time and patience!

The saiga 12 forum has a ton of info for you to do it yourself. I personally like R&R racing parts. Check them out.
