I am about to buy an Armasight CO-MR gen2 but there are different options and I can not find where it explains what they are. The different options are : SD MG, ID MG, HD, and QS. I know QS is quicksilver which is white phosphorus and I'm guessing HD is High Def.

Manual gain allows you to turn up the amount of amplification ( or down for high light areas). All the DEFINITION labels amounts to the lp/mm (lines per millimeter). You'd have to ask an armasight rep for the definitions exact lp/m's, but HD is 64 lpm.

Hands down, get the CO-x in Gen 2 HD. I sell them on the Hide for $2,175 and so far haven't had any complaints about it here. If you have any questions about it at all, please feel free to let me know! And [MENTION=46490]Proarc[/MENTION] Thanks!

I thought I had someone buying my Harley Davidson so I thought I had the money lol they backed out last second. Thank you for the offer though. Do you usually keep these around? Personal preference really. Research says our eyes are most sensitive to green. Some people swear by Black and White. Hard and fast advantage ? No..
The B/W vs. Green debate is interesting. You get some dealers that say it is garbage, and manufacturers that say its the best thing ever, blah blah....
In my experience, the truth is right in the middle. NSW uses PVS-31's with L3's "chrome" white phosphor tube. It is an outstanding setup. You can get them (the tubes) on the commercial side, but they are outrageously expensive. On our side of the fence (every day buyers), I have found that in the Gen 3 arena, I think a run of the mill Pinnacle, or Alpha has the better image over the white. However I find that I can sell a 4x Nemesis with a with a gen 2 white phosphor tube at almost every live demo I do. Looking through it, it just has an image with great contrast that leaves you thinking you are looking at a more expensive tube. BUT, when it comes to a gen 2 clip on, I say go HD or nothing (just speaking gen 2). When you are looking through a scope, in to the clip on, the high resolution of the HD really sets it apart.
Most of the people on the internet that trash it seem to have never used it. Honestly, in my experience, if all other parameters are the same, or similar, it is just like you said...personal preference. Its just a different color.
Will the gen2 HD last as long as a basic gen3? I've heard some gen2 tubes will last the 15,000 hours like the gen 3. I don't think that I'll even hit the 2,500 hours the gen 2 are rated for but I like to know that I won't have to buy a new clip on in a few years.
