Rifle Scopes TT525 GEN3XR at Distance

This is my opinion. I'm not trying to start arguments just trying to give back because i like to read when people give good review.
List of scopes i own:
Nightforce ATACR 7-35x56
S&B 5-25x56 PM II
Vortex Razor HD AMG6-24x50
Kahles K624i 6-24x56
Minox ZP5 5-25x56
Leupold Mark8 3.5-25x56 M5B2
TT525 GEN3XR
Weather conditions were 70 and sunny on this test.
My friends Scope was in this Test also ZCO 5-27x56 ZC527. Me and my friends look at all scopes and testing was done at 1200 yards 1500 yards 1760 and 2000 yards. Other 2 people were involve in this testing guy that owns ZCO and friend who is just regular Professor at university who does not shoot or own any optics.
Some people my question why didn't you test these optics and their clarity under 1000 yards. Reason for that is simple lots of scopes on market today that are $1000 or less will do fine under 1000 yards in optical clarity. Again this is my opinion not trying to start any arguments.
1200 yards TT, ZCO,Minox, S&B, NF and then rest is order of clarity but this was hard because you have to focus and focus to find differences very close in optical clarity.
1500 yards TT, Minox, ZCO, S&B, NF order of clarity
1760 is where TT is pulling away from the group in optical clarity, Minox and ZCO are falling behind. At 1760 all 3 of us think NF was more clear than S&B.
2000 yards TT is most clear of them all but i want to make clear all of these scopes are very good.

Now this is just my opinion no friends involve.
When it comes to turrets fit and finish TT is the best. Hard to explain why but just find one at store or range and feel the turrets but they are just amazing.
This test was mostly about clarity at long distance.
Big question is do you spend extra $1000 on TT and is it worth extra $1000? Short and simple Yes it is well worth extra $1000 to me because everything is perfect on TT. Lot's of guys will say explain why $1000 more for TT? Well my answer to that is find scope somewhere and test it play with it and you will understand why is worth $1000 more than some others.
TT525P Rifle Telescope is an extreme-range precision sighting instrument for professional marksmen or people that want to have the best.

I'm sorry if i said anything that would offend anybody. My opinion and some friends, we are not professionals but we enjoy shooting targets at long distances.

Thank you and its honest write up just what we saw.
It does not bother me but it can be problem at long distance depending on size of target if you are at full zoom at 25x.
I zoom to identify at 25x than zoom back down to 20x so for me its no problem just being honest.

We did not spend that much time behind each scope on Turrets.
But if you looking to buy TT believe me you won't be disappointed in turrets.

On center dot size: I've been messing with Gen 3 XR reticle for the last several days. I think the dot size is just about right for my purposes. I think smaller dots have their place, but visibility can be an issue. This dot size is a good compromise. If I really need to shoot something smaller than this dot, there is enough empty space around to aim with the edge if I am so inclined.

My basic take on this is that if I want to use a thinner aiming point, it should be a small thin crosshair. When a dot is too small, it gives me trouble.

From all that I have seen, I do not want a dot smaller than 0.05.

ILya i agree and again everyone has a personal preference. But if you get behind TT and experience center dot i think many people would be surprised that .7 dot has many advantages.

We did not compere them in low light. But me and my friend will try to do that comparison this coming up weekend and i will update it here. We talked about it and we will compare TT, S&B, Minox,ZCO and NF. Again it will be nothing personal but just honest opinion we have and what we see.

That would be excellent. I really like hearing the honest reviews even if it’s not what I think about the optic, sometimes helps you understand a different aspect of the optic. Let us know when you do the low light compare if you’re able and thank you!

i would say ZCO and Minox optical clarity is neck to neck, very close. but if i had to pick over all scope which is better all over as a scope it would be ZCO for #2 spot. Again not trying to offend anybody just personal opinion.

Agreed. Some are going to put TT as best optic for their use and some are going to sag Zcomp (or Schmidt or whatever).

For me personally, if you just look at glass and/or turret feel, the TT does better.

When you factor in 25m parallax, locking turrets, and reticle I prefer, them the zcomp wins me over.

I was worried about the larger center dot but now I’m used to it and actually prefer it. I shot my minox with the mr4 the other day and found the center dot too small. I didn’t think I’d be able to shoot very small groups at 100 yards but to my surprise it works just fine and I prefer it. Some people didn’t like the dot for the whole mil marker, they wanted it to be the largest hash Mark. At first I felt the same way but once again after shooting it bit I find it faster being the dot. Overall I have zero complaints about the scope and am very happy with it. My rifle is in my basement in the laundry room on a bench and when ever I walk passed it to do laundry I give the turrets a little spin. The clicks are amazing.

I agree with you on center dot. Once you start using it has lots of good things about it, now that im using it as you said my Kahles dot and Minox are small. It’s all personal preference.

For me, something around .04 is minimum, .05-.06 is ideal, and .07 is max. The .045 in my Delta Stryker is freaking awesome for both high-mag precision and mid-mag visibility. I like it better than the SKMR. MR4 is another awesome reticle.

I have one of these on the way as well as an NF ATACR 7-35 MIL-XT.

imo, these are going to be hard to decide between as far as best reticle goes.

I think what makes TT stand out in my opinion again is not only optical clarity at distance but just over all quality is there. Everything is perfect. Turrets are spot on and they have zero play when you turning them, reticle is awesome, tools zero and few other things. I'm not saying that no one can make better optic but i it will be hard to beat this scope.
