Hey guys just wondering if anyone knew if it was possible to turn down a saum rim to get it to fit a standard 308 bolt. Been trying to find a way to chamber this in an ar 10 this is one of my options.

Not so easy on an ar bolt also the standard 308 extractors don't work with a magnum rim I have been told.

Yes, this can be done.
I've got a 300 WSM with a rebated rim. Know a person who can do this for you. He didn't want to pay for a second bolt (switch barrel 6BR and 300 WSM) so he made form tool to rebate rim on 300 WSM brass.
I'll check with him, see how much it is to have brass modified.
