I think you are going to want to go with the rail as the mounting space is really short on these and may not match up with direct mount systems.I just bought this scope, havent got it in yet. For a Remington 700 should I put a warne rail on it with low rings or get Talley low rings that mount straight on the action?
Thanks for the reply. I was worried the front of the scope would hit the rail.I think you are going to want to go with the rail as the mounting space is really short on these and may not match up with direct mount systems.
I ran into that too. It’s a balancing act with such a short scope. I loved the scope for what it is, but couldn’t get it to fit the way I wanted. Thanks for the reply. I was worried the front of the scope would hit the rail.
Did you end up running a pic rail with low rings?I ran into that too. It’s a balancing act with such a short scope. I loved the scope for what it is, but couldn’t get it to fit the way I wanted.
Ended up selling it as it was so short objective bell hot rail on a Tikka 308 and had to either go higher rings or move it on, so I sold it.Did you end up running a pic rail with low rings?
Gotcha. I'm going to try the 20moa warne rail with low rings and see what happens. US Optics told me low rings would be fine on a rem 700Ended up selling it as it was so short objective bell hot rail on a Tikka 308 and had to either go higher rings or move it on, so I sold it.
5-Minute Impression Review:
Bought a TS-12X from EO with the MHR reticle for my AR10 16" setup. Wanted something short that didn't cost an arm and a leg as I am investing into a Leupold DAGR clone for my SCAR17.
Fit and Finish: Excellent. Both inside and out. No dirt particles inside the optic, diopter has no play but easily worked and the magnification rings is smooth...not S&B/Steiner smooth but as good as many. Compared to the Optika6 I had...this USO (even though it is Made in China...the tolerances and overall fit and finish is better).
Glass: I compared this to my LRTS and Nitro 3-12s...I find that 12 to 18X is the sweet spot for optics anymore...glass wise it is on par with the Nitro with a bit better color and resolution but not as much as the LRTS...CA is better on the TS12X than both of the Bushnells...but it is just not as vivid as the LRTS. Per USO, they source the glass from Japan...however I expected the lack of resolution out of such compact scope that is shorter than many LPVOs. There is slight distortion between 3-4X at the edges but you have to look for it.
Turrets: Both are locking pull/push setup like many. Clicks are tactile but there is a slight "mush" feel as you go from click to click...however each .1 mil adjustment can be felt and heard. 6 mil on elevation per turn and the windage is marked 1-2-3-2-1 so you won't get lost in it easily if you do dial for windage...I personally never will once zeroed. I did test if there is any hang up like someone mentioned previously as you dial the turrets...I felt no resistance of any kind in my sample.
Reticle: They nailed it...it is a no frills, perfect mil reticle with a floating dot ... I do wish they would have added say 5 mils up top with .2 mil capability but truly I do not feel it is needed at 12X...if this optic was a 15X or higher...I would want it. But USO nailed this reticle...and I can use it at 3X.
Packaging: for people that care...the package is excellent and well designed. I really liked the checklist included that is MANUALLY written out by the technician with his/her name on it.
In closing of my 5-minutes review...I think this is very much a sleeper optic, especially at the EuroOptic price point...but as anything...the only thing that matters is how it holds up to my AR10...so time will tell...but USO offers a great warranty and informed me that they test each optic on their machine that simulates .30-06 at 5000rds prior to shipping...
It's a Chinese? Made scope with questionable features. US optics is basically dead. They ain't what they used to be. Stop being poor and buy something by a reputable manufacturer. There are tons these days. Should have played this game 10 years ago and you'd understand.Anymore feedback on this scope? I know its hard to get out and shoot during COVID. I see the MHR FFP version of this is $375 at lockedloaded.com. This would go well I think on an ar15 platform.

Not a flame at all. US optics used to be the shit. Loved mine back when. This is a different line not manufactured by them and the QC has been spotty at best for years. Do a search. You'll find a few years of disappointment.Flame much?
I have Schmidt and Bender and Steiner too my good man. But also SWFA and Sig. I like boxed wine, and fine bourbon, chilling at home, or staying at the tallest hotel in Dubai. What can I say.
Total agreement there. I have researched, considered buying some older used US Optics in the past. Glad I didn't. This scope is just so weird and short I was tempted to try it. I got the SWFA Ultralight this year after seeing Ilya's feedback. Loved it. This to me is similar but with Parallax, FFP, a bigger tube and magnification range. Kinda intrigued me.Not a flame at all. It went down when I added it to my cart.Back up to $565 already![]()
Sounds great! Looking forward to your input.Order placed. I’ll throw in my 2c once it arrives.
Looks like 12-15 days.
Finally got to shoot mine for the first time last night. For the price, I feel like I stole it. I'm used to higher power optics, but this one is for a lightweight hunting rig. First shot was in the bottom left corner of the target. Dialed 5 mils up and 4.5 mils right according the reticle and the second shot was dead center. Can't complain about that. Did a little more dialing just for fun, and it tracks nicely. Love the floating center dot. I will say that I don't usually complain about a reticle being too thin, but this one is as thin as I would go on 3-4x. At higher mag, where I usually shoot, it's beautiful. I've had lower end scopes with higher magnification (18x) that could barely make out hits on paper at 100 yards. Not a problem with this one as the glass is crisp and clear as can be! I mounted it in Burris XTR signature rings (can't remember how much MOA I added with the inserts, but it was a decent amount), and I have 23 mils of upward adjustment. An illuminated reticle would be nice, but since I never actually use those, it's more of a want than a need. The only thing I actually miss is a zero stop. I wonder if this could be shimmed like some other scopes can?
I’ve never used the Vector, but I can tell you the USO turrets are okay. Not great, not bad. Basically what you would expect at the price point. I don’t know how well they track. I didn’t have mine long enough to test it and haven’t seen any tracking tests online that I can recall. Bottom line for me, they feel okay. If they track well, it’s a decent scope. If not, it’s junk. If anyone else has any tracking test results I’d be interested.Looking for a cheap, short FFP MIL/MIL scope for a 12" Grendel build (suppressed woods hunting rifle), think I'm down to this and the new Athlon 2-12x42. I had a Vector version, assume the glass is better in the USO version? Can anyone attest to the turrets feeling any different between Vector and USO version or are they identical?
Hey there, this American Defense QD mount is compatible with our TS-12X. https://www.admmfg.com/ad-recon-pb-scope-mountI would also like to know if a HIDE dealer sells the USO TS-12X.
Also, a Quick Detach mount recommendation would be nice.
Let us know if you like it. I've toyed with putting one on an SBR 6.5 Grendel I hunt with, 12 inch barrel. I have a SWFA Ultralight on it right now. I like the SWFA scope at 2.5-8 power, but it struggles above that magnification with the eye-box tightening and the lack of a parallax adjustment.Just ordered one from eurooptics, $350 no shipping. Will go on a rimfire gun. Cool Idea. Hope I like it.
I will post my thoughts once I have used it. The specs and form factor are so appealing at the price point that I could not resist giving it a try.Let us know if you like it. I am gonna need to know where to purchase a sunshade like the one you have there, please.I Installed my ts12x on my 10/22 ruger custom shop and run it in a 22lr prs match . the farthest target was 135 yds . The little scope done very well and if it were not for a bad case of the dumb ass I would of finished alot better than middle of the pack . Prior to I have been running the ts12x on an 18 inch rifle gassed ar 5.56 and it has done a very good job for me .![]()
I think it came off of a super sniper 10x I use to have it is the same diameter 42 mm .I am gonna need to know where to purchase a sunshade like the one you have there, please.![]()

i have a swfa sunshade so I will check. thanks for the info.I think it came off of a super sniper 10x I use to have it is the same diameter 42 mm .
I think the FFP model is 42 mm and the SFP model is 44 mm .The SWFA line is 42mm, but the TS-12x is 44mm. That doesn’t mean the outer diameter of the objective on both isn’t the same though, I suppose. Any way you can confirm that? I might pick a TS-12x up, but I’m not paying $75 (!!!) dollars for a sun shade from USO, LOL.
I think the FFP model is 42 mm and the SFP model is 44 mm .
Thanks I am aware of that . I was trying to reply to the other fellow about the ts12x ffp being 42 mm and the SFP ts12x being 44 mm as advertised on euro optics web site .All SWFA Classic models are 42mm.

Got it. That's likely a typo.
Both TS-12x versions have 44mm objectives to the best of my knowledge. Either way, they have the same exact housing, so the sunshade would be the same.
I have the FFP version of this scope and it is labeled as 3-12x44.

What are your overall thoughts on it, Ilya? Good buy at ~$275 shipped?
