I'm not sure how much difference powder makes in throat erosion however I'm looking for a powder that has good temperature stability and is slower burning to try and save barrel wear. Looks like for most of the 6mm and 6.5s H4350 is the go-to powder and I have plenty however I'm going from .260 to 6mm and wanting to save wear and tear on a barrel as much as possible. I'm seeing different loads for the 6s but not so much for the 6x47L. Is anyone using H4831sc in this particular caliber and if so then does it seem to save on barrel erosion?
Thanks.

Yes, I do, but I've got a .208 freebore which is longer than what is standard.

I use 43.2 grains which is slightly compressed, the powder being halfway up the shoulder.

105 hybrids are going 3172 fps out of a 28" 8 twist and I'm using CCI450's.

I've used this load for years. I got 2900 rounds out of a melonited barrel and this barrel which isn't melonited has 1100 plus rounds through it. I haven't measured the throat in a long time.
