How do you do the text email? It must be a tight camera outline to avoid "false alarms" by other drivers, etc. But I already have the cameras. I could throw a "Blink" outdoor on that and shrink down the coverage area, but we'll see.
In any market, whoever pays the most has first pick from the available workforce. From there, excellence is driven from the top down. This is why a Chic-Fil-A will have great service, sitting next to a McDonslds that is abysmal. They pay better. They train better. And, they fire those that don’t make the grade. If you’re afraid to fire b/c you need the warm body, you are failing on at least 2 fronts. Which ever service is paying their employees the most, in your area, is probably the service that sucks the least, in your area…
This is how I received match grade bullets from euro optic via UPS. They tried to blame UPS but it was clearly not packed properly and the cardboard box of bullets was simply a missile inside the box.
The outer box was in pristine condition and my driver actually added some tape because bullets were falling out.

This is the new norms since the Plandemic. Mostly due to the fact people suck and nobody wants to actually "work" and our own liberal controlled government promotes people NOT working. The most recent Federal workforce information reveals that only 6-10% actually work in person but remotely (little actual work) and still receive full pay and benefits. But also in large part due to this from the 60's!!!

Remember, the drivers for Fedex Ground are *not* Fedex employees but contractors. The truck might be branded as Fedex but, usually, you'll see the contractor's name and credentials, etc. just to the lower left of the truck's front door. You'd have to sue the contractor's LLC or whatever.

Be wary of Amazon and when packages are "lost" or "never delivered." Sometimes, it's a bait and switch thing.
I've had several times when Amazon offered an item at a low price and shipped it, only to have that package lost or not delivered. It used to be that they'd send you a "replacement" item. Not anymore. What they do now is refund your purchase price and let you buy the item again. Of course, by that time, the price will have risen to what they really want to charge for it. Likewise, if the price goes down while you are in this process, they will only refund the amount that represents the current price, not what you paid for it.

Yeah Amazon does shady crap like that. Most of my shipments take a week here in Wyoming. They are getting sued for slow deliveries suddenly I get 2 shipments in 2 days time, on a Sunday…..

Location is a factor too imho , i had really no issues with the USPS while living in NJ [trenton] ....it takes quite a lot to get used to this USPS service in panama city beach fla and their slow service .
They all suck but wrap your head around this re; USPS. I live in SW Florida, I can send a priority box to my son outside of Seattle in Everett Wa. 3 days 4 at the most. A priority box shipped to Tampa or the east coast of Fl takes 4-5 days but consistently a box goes to Wa. state in 3-4 days!!! This is just one example of the malfeasance at the USPS. And you're right sloporshe it's all location dependent.
Ridiculous but true and I have had many near disasters (losses) from each of the "big three" like some have said moving across back and forth coast to coast etc, and signature confirmations are a joke with all 3 including NFA items, HazMat items and high value insured items, if you have ever signed for anything they use that regardless of whether you actually signed.
The only true way I've found is the slow walk of USPS registered mail, now I use that for anything over $1k......

This is awesome... the tracking indicates it is in the "U.S." so I have that going for me! Seriously though, it is good to know it's in the U.S. since it is a package that was shipped from WI to MI

This “3 day shipping” departed on the 22nd from Pensacola east bound to Jacksonville, departed Jacksonville only to return to Jacksonville the next day and is now up in New Hampshire.

Just curious. First, I gather that all the pkgs (especially USPS) had tracking enacted so you could follow them (theoretically). As for the merchant that "did not comply," it could be that they had an "exclusive" deal with USPS (ie. cheaper rates if you only ship with us). I used to have problems with UPS. They refused to make it easy for me to "pick up" a shipment at their distribution facility Their mantra was, always, "DELIVERY.... DELIVERY.... DELIVERY!"... at a time when I was always at work and never home to receive the pkg upon initial delivery), I was asking the merchants to ship USPS (oddly enough)) which would would go to my PO Box where I could pick it up securely, or FEDEX where I actually worked nearby and they *would* hold the pkgs at their office for my pickup. Most of the merchants I spoke to using UPS exclusively told me that they had cut deals with them for cheaper rates if they did use them exclusively.
Later on, when UPS had that huge and long strike by the workers, a lot of those exclusive deals started disappearing as the merchants started "diversifying" their carrier strategy. I guess that's when USPS started to get really big.. apparently, too big for its britches. It "Peter Principled."
And I'd never do business with that merchant again... and tell them why... on both "Glassdoor" and "Yelp!"
Registered mail is the only service with an actual chain of custody. You might need to talk to a real person, but the PO should be able to identify exactly where that piece of mail is in their system- and track it back to the carrier.

Yes, tracking numbers were provided by all the vendors on the list. I am not sure about the "exclusive" agreement with the vendor in Oregon. If I had to guess, I would say that is all he uses. His shipping fees might be less than the other carriers. I don't really care. Especially when you consider that it took 213 days from Arizona to Southwest Iowa before USPS even admitted that they lost it. Remember it went from "Departed USPS Regional Facility in Tucson, AZ on September 27, 2024 at 3:46 AM" to "September 27, 2024 9:15 pm - The status went from "delivered no later than 9:00 PM 27 November" to "Your package is moving within the USPS network and is on track to be delivered to its final destination. It is currently in transit to the next facility." I interpreted that to mean it apparently fell off the truck while it was driving down the road since it was checked out of a facility, but never checked into a different facility.
The vendor that "did not comply" had sold me five inner tubes and flaps for my MB. They came UPS. I needed an additional two more tubes and flaps for the trailer. I ordered them the same day the ones for the jeep arrived. I specifically asked for UPS service because . . . well, because I do not much care for the service provided (or in some instances not provided) by the USPS. He confirmed the UPS service would cost more and I told him that did not matter to me. I would rather pay more and actually receive the package as opposed to paying less and never receiving the package.
Anyway, he shipped USPS . . . and as you can see in the information. Delivery took eleven days instead of four and the per tube and flap cost was more than the UPS package. I suppose I should feel pleased that at least the trailer has new tubes and flaps. Maybe I should take the MB and trailer to Arizona and follow the route of the USPS truck. I might find the clarinet in a ditch somewhere along the way.
