V4 vs supertrickler vs ingenuity trickler

My Autotrickler V4 came in and i’ve played with it and H-4831sc. It sucked. You NEED to be able to tilt that machine up and down in order to achieve good results, and an enclosure/base with such a screw should be sold with this machine.

I got one of Jim’s enclosures…I honestly am incapable of describing how massive an upgrade this enclosure is! It’s very well built, high quality construction, and allows unobstructed view of the machine and powder cup from any angle.

The enclosure also includes a screw that eliminates the need for any shims or cheap tricks. I can very finely adjust the values on the app such that the machine had minimal overthrows.

I also ordered an Ingenuity Precision trickler, so we’ll have to see what if any improvement in performance is out there.

I’ve now thrown both H-4831SC and IMR-4320 and it’s no sweat to the V4. So far so good!

Now, if only there were a fix for powder spillage! Ugh! 😩

Fortunately for you, you were able to purchase V3s and oair em with IP tricklers.

I have to oair my V4 with an IP trickler…we’ll see how that works.

Questions;

1. Is that an IP powder cup you’re using?

2. If not, which cup is that? Does it significantly cut down on powder spills? Where dis you purchase it? Ebay?

3. Did you also need to buy a new/different nozzle to pair with the cup?

Nice! I have the exact same V3 AutoThrow/IP setup on my FX120i with the factory windscreen with Area419 top and I have no complaints. Runs great..

I have this brand new second A&D scale... FX300i which doesnt come with a windscreen. Its same footprint as my FX120i, my factory FX120i windscreen fits it they are the same..

Im going to use my V3 AT with a Lee manual powder dump on this second scale for pistol powder reloading..... But I couldn't find a windscreen. Just sent him a message so hopefully he can help me out!!

That’s how I do it and I love it, I probably won’t even get the automated bulk drop system since I love how simple and bonehead-proof my setup is.

Even dropping the bulk charges manually, powder for 100rds takes less than 10 minutes (including getting the powder in the hopper and then putting it back in the jug). No headaches, no over’s… ever.

I know this post is from a couple of years ago, but I would love to duplicate this set-up, I have a couple of Harrell powder dispensers and I'm happy to throw the main charge by hand, what pieces and parts did you get from Ingenuity? Thank you.

If you already have an FX120i and an IP trickler, here's the rest of what you'll need (~$100 or less in parts IIRC):

AT V3 electronics (card for FX120i)
1 AT motor (for trickler)
AT V3 motor cable
AT V3 power adapter
AT App
Powder cup

So I got a motor with the IP Trickler, same one? I don't see the AT App anywhere. I got the glass powder cup withthe scale, what about the glass cup guide I saw on top of the scale?

Same motor (if you get one with your IP trickler you won't need it).

The App is called "Autotrickler" in the Apple App store and works on iOS for iPhone, iPad (I'm sure there's an Android version too). You can also just use the scale too/instead (page 9 in the online manual for the AT3). You'll also use the AT3 manual to setup your scale: https://www.dataweigh.com/media/15874/autotrickler_v3_and_user_maual.pdf
