Varget... MIA?

Well, there is no Varget available in a 100mile radius. So I decided to go with R-15 and see how it'll work.

Does anyone have a any good loads that could possibly work with the Hornday's 165g SST's and R-15 out a Rem 700 SPS Tactical? .308 of course!

Reloader 15 is a fair bit slower than Varget .
IMR 4064 is very close to Varget in speed .

I don't like the results I get with RL-15 in my .308. Groups are about .5" larger... YMMV.

I still got plenty of Varget but switched to Ramshot Tactical. It is wayyy more available, cheaper, and has similar burn rate. 43-44gr of TAC seems to do the trick.
