Hunting & Fishing Varmint hunters! Advice needed on a budget electronic caller.

I'd like to buy my grandfather a decent electronic caller for Christmas. He still uses a cassette tape based caller, so any step up will be pretty drastic! Their has been a population boom of coyotes in his area over the last couple of years, so that is the primary function I am looking for. Secondary function would be for crows. He absolutely loves shooting crows! He's in his eighties and not what I would call "tech-savvy", so ease of use is high on the list of desirable features.

I'm looking at the Foxpro Wildfire II. Looks like I can get it delivered for less than $200. Are there better options?

I think FoxPro spitfire was just on sale at cabelas for around $120. I got mine last year and paid somewhere around $150-$180 I think.

me being cheap, i've used alot of low dollar stuff. IMO the best for low dollar E call being that johnny stewart attractor call for 40.00 and fits in the pocket. remote controlled but only out to about 50Y, for the price it's not actually that bad and have called in stuff with it, but with that price tag you are very limited.

i also used the preymaster, the cording gets old real quick.

last year i got the wildfire II and am absolutely delighted with it, it's worth every penny for varmints, crows, geese (when allowed), and anything else out there. you can download just about any animal call, i even have an elephant, lion, and chimpanzee sound on it to piss off other hunters when they start doing stupid stuff while out hunting.

very easy to use, you may have to setup downloading calls if you want extra ones on there. the hand held is great the battery meter is definite plus

i should have started with the foxpro, but in a way if i did i wouldn't know how spoiled i am now! thinking about picking up the fox jack 2 this year.

in your case for 200.00 delivered, i don't think there is much that can touch it, i know you will not be disappointed with it.
