Victor Co cheekpiece on A5--pics

Well, guess I had to much time on my hands. I'm sure there's a couple other ideas on how to do this, I just don't have access to certain tools, etc. This started as a result of a brand new A5 having the rubber peel off one side, appears it wasn't glued down. That was sent back and I'm still waiting for the replacement I hope----

I had made the one from a block of plastic before I saw the Victor Company one and decided to use that.

Anyway--Mike, If you have an interest in making these, have at it!

For me with the medium rings, I raise it up may 1/4" I would have to cut the middle of the riser out and most likely won't work.

Lol! That looks great, I love the ingenuity! We have thought about trying them on a few stocks including the A5.. though that is the first I've seen. Nice work.

Thanks Mike, I needed the slight forward cant on the cheek piece. The distance between the two threaded inserts is 1.5" which is the width of the stock well, if one didn't need that, they could just have two wings and may have to have a slight indent to fit the screw head and also file down the screw head so the cheek piece could bottom out.

I would say, make one with the threaded inserts further apart and the plate that will attach to the cheek piece have spaced holes to allow for fore and aft adjustment.

I also had to file down the front screw head so it would allow the cheek piece to bottom out.
