I am from MN but I store a rifle at the brother-in-laws. 270 win stays super sonic til 1100 or so looking to play with it second week of June . We could not find any spots to shoot last time even though he is local. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately all the desert spots are closed due to fire restrictions, best bet is Ben Avery range or rio salado range

I went to Ben Avery and shot at the Silhouette Highpower event. Not long range, but unsupported at 540+ yards was a challenge. It was a lot of fun, and I can not do that around home. One does not even need a $3000 set up, its more about the holding and shooter than a 3/8 MOA gun. Did it with the a feather weight barrel .270 Win from Walmart, but the gun does shoot better than it should for the price.
