I purchased a Vortex Viper 6.5x20 and love it.

Do you guys have any hands on with these or do you have any good info on them. I know of a place that is selling them for $130. I would just like to hear from others before I pull the trigger.

I will put it on my AR and will be shooting from 4-600 yards. Just seeing if the quality is good on the scopes like it is on the Viper.

Thanks

Its a 32x discontinued scope for $120, what do you think?

Vortex is a great company and offers some great products at great prices, but I can assure you that this scope will be nothing like the Viper that you currently own.

I've got one, Its a range toy these days. Out of necessity I did use it out to about 400yds last yr on a prairie dog trip. It worked but past 20 power the image really loses its clarity. I'll be upgrading before this yrs trip.

I have one. I had it on a .300wm for a bit. I shot a couple hundred rounds with it on. I had no issues with it at all. I got some cash together, bought a Razor, and put the Crossfire on my .22. It's like having a spotting scope on that little rifle. You can see the small caliber bullet holes being made in most cases. Not a bad scope for the money and, as stated a million times here, Vortex's CS is top notch.

BTW, the quality is not on the level of the Viper.

My shooting partner has one on his R700. He has shot it out to 1000y so far. Zeroed at 100y and was back on at 1000y within 6 shots. His first scope on broke almost right away, he called Vortex and they replaced it "no questions asked" within a week. Great service, and for the money its seem like a heck of a scope. YMMV
