Mine going on a Scar 17.One mine. Excited for it, but still can't figure out how to best utilize. What do people see as the optimal host for this scope?

Beggars can’t be choosers but I would love a 1 or 1.5-10 x 44. Anything bigger than 24. I’d love to try a 1.8-10 from USO but don’t want to risk it given all the issues I’ve read about.March has a 1-10x24FFP coming out toward the end of the year that will have side focus.

Well shit, my 1-10 Razor turned into another ATACR!

Word. Prefer that actually. Might be a perfect scope for me. Hopefully I can get my hands on that and a uso 1.8-10 before pulling the triggerWhat he meant was the turrets have a cover on them and you can leave them covered or take them off and leave the knobs exposed. The knobs are similar to the Razor II 1-6. There is no locking turret.
I would order Vortex caps, but they’ve horrible reviews.
Horrible reviews? Have seen a couple people not happy but the vast majority are very happy. I like the Defender caps a lot. They are easy to put on, snap flat open out of the way and are pretty tough. Even if you did manage to break them, which I haven't yet, they are covered and will be replaced by Vortex.
The only not happy reviews I have seen is people saying they slip. A hint with that is spray a little hair spray on the inside of the rubber part of the cap that touches the scope and it holds nice and firm. Had to do it on one scope myself. Let it set for a couple hours before popping cap open.
For $40 for a complete set of caps the Defenders are a great deal.
I have seen this and found that (for me), if I take off the rear cap on 1-6/1-8 optics that it is just as good with no caps (ie, front cap only). So on those I use an Aadland front and either no rear or a cheap Butler Creek (for storage only, I take it off when the rifle is in use).I’ve always felt caps take away from the Razor 1-6 “floating image” experience. I stopped running them myself and doubt i will for the 1-10.
Maybe a scopecoat for storage?
It’s a pretty sweet optic, but I think that 10 power is overkill. A 1-6 with a red dot like reticle is nice. I can’t imagine being a fan of the 1-10 with a regular long range optic reticle during short engagements.
Brighter than even the NX8? Damn!Mine came in and I mounted it up on my mws yesterday. The dot is almost stare into the sun bright. Brighter than anything else I've had. I do wish the posts extended all the way to the edges of the fov. For me it's just a bit faster to find the center especially if the dot isn't turned on.
I have a nx8, mk6 cmr762, genii razor mrad and now the gen 3 on hand too. Hopefully I'll get time to have all of them out at one time.

Interested to hear your comparison. Right now I'd like to get one side by side with my NX8.
Speaking from personal experience? So I guess the term “daylight bright” needs to be updated to “nuclear bright”Holy crap, the illumination on the 1-10 is nuclear.
They each have their strengths. Without going into too much detail until I’ve spent some time behind the 1-10, my initial thought is that there is a market for both scopes.
When ready, I'd be curious to learn more on the above!
Very interested as well on even your initial thoughts between the two. 1-10x is probably more than I really need for a 14.5 223 and the 1-6 are cheap right now so I’m on the fence oh which to go with.Yes. I was a little surprised by it.
I played with it side by side with my Razor 1-6. They’re very different scopes but also have many similarities.

I keep hearing this predicted, but I'm skeptical it's really going to be a thing. The GenIII is operating at a much different price. I do think we'll see some dumping at $700-$800 if there's like a Gen III 1-8x SFP that's closer to what the current Razors are going for.Me too. Might jump on a 1-6 when the mad sell off begins.

Where did you order your 1-10x?I paid around $1000 for my 1-6 E a few months once coupons and active junky factored in. and the 1-10 was high $1600's. Not a huge jump in price IMO. I was going to hold off on the 1-10 when I initially saw the MSRP.
I sold the 1-6 E for what I paid. I like my p4xi's for my 14.5s and SBR's due to the lighter weight. The 1-10 is amazing and staying on a 16" Criterion barreled upper. I'm hoping Vortex can put out a lighter 1-6, 1-8 at some point around $1k.
Contact Scott at Liberty Optics. But it's always wise to call around to all the Hide dealers and see who might have the best deal at the time.Where did you order your 1-10x?
Just curious as to your perspective on the 1-6, comparison to the 1-10. If price were the same, I don’t see any reason for myself at least, where I would choose the 1-6. The weight is the same and the 1-10 essentially does the same thing on the low end, with additional capabilities at max magnification and depending on reticle choice, an additional envelope. The 1-6 seems like a fine optic, but it’s in the 1-8 or above weight class. I can understand if I were on a budget attempting to secure best bang for buck. Maybe I’m missing something. Again, I’m curious.I don’t see a huge 1-6 Razor sale happening. Some will but they are two different scopes that each do their intended job quite well.
