Mine aren't bad enough for me to sell but disappointing for sure. They did line up perfectly and lock properly. Considering Scott said they're aware of the issue I'm assuming there is a remedy to it.

Not down playing the people having issues with the knobs but on a different note I was out at Woody's today with some serious heavy mirage and was impressed. I had my Gen II 3-18 getting put back on my 20" .308 so got that zeroed and shot to 540 yards on the steel and on 18x the mirage was boiling pretty heavy even at 100 yards. When I swapped over to my Vudoo with the Gen III on it to test some lots of ammo the mirage was less at 36x than at 18x on the Gen II. I could make out the detail on the smaller dots I was using without a problem. The glass in these scopes is nice. Now once the knobs get sorted out I am sure there will be even more fans of this scope.
I was playing with one after a match last night. The guy had already sent it in and said the turrets are much better now. They still accidentally lock when you run them, he 3D printed a shim to keep it from being able to lock. The turrets were no where near as nice as the Gen 2's I owned in the past.
That is disappointing. Wonder if there will be a second revision. Sounding like a broken record but that’s the only blemish holding this optic back from being an absolute home run for them.

I just pulled my minox zp5 off my 6gt and installed my second gen3 razor. The turrets bother me none. They track, make click noises and make distinguishable thuds between spacing. The glass is excellent, parallax/eyebox very for forgiving. I like them quite a bit. The 2nd scope was from the second batch received by Liberty Optics. The turrets on the new one are a bit more audible/distinctive than the one from the first batch.
What’d ya think comparing it to the ZP5. It’s been a largely equal showing to me.
I've had my first sample next to the zp5 a few times comaring them. At 25x I felt it was easier to get behind the gen3. Color rendition, contrast, all pretty comparable. I felt the zp5 had less depth of field than the gen3. I can set the parallax at 700y at 15x and be relatively parallax free from 500-1k yards, turn power to 22x and then turn parallax knob to infinity and its pretty much parallax free from 700-1200y. The minox seemed to require more tuning. The resolution is very good on both, however the extra mag of the gen3 is nice for spotting/milling targets. Shrubs at 1k yards it was very easy to see fine details on small limbs at 30X. Considering i acquired my gen3s at similar price to a second hand zp5 they're in the same price range although apples to oranges, but I personally like the gen3 a bit more. I always seemed to have an issue, once getting my zp5 turret zeroed, it required readjusting to get it to perfectly line up on the proper hashes once I started twisting turrets. The turret/parallax feel are better on the zp5, but the mag ring on the gen3 is just butter smooth. Eye relief is similar, I def prefer the shorter oal of the gen3. I prefer the mr4 0.2 mil spacing from center dot on the main stadia over the tighter internal spacing of the ebr7-d. But everything else of the reticle I like. I've shot two matches with it and have placed well so the optics working in my system. I've found I can run more mag for equal FOV and find targets equally and see more detail of my shots. I was able to spot and visibly see my edge impact on a 1k plate to make a correction for center impact. Def wouldn't been able to do that with my old kahles k624i. I've been able to see much more of my bullet flight, trace and splash this year, but I switched from 6gt to 22gt with apa gen3 brake with all the top ports opened, the rifle has zero muzzle flip so that, and the fact I've started to know where to look for seeing trace, has helped. I've put o-rings on both gen3s to prevent elevation turret lock. I have no use for it dialing constantly all day.
For what its worth, my turrets were badddddd stiff and i sent the scope in and got it back in a week and the turrets are 1 million times better, feel like my gen2 turrets now, i am very happy, other than i need to find a way or a oring size to keep turret from locking, I lock it every other time I dial.

Idk about that but I can tell you the turrets suck and I only pack 12”.
Seems like it, mine are fine. Will advise when my 2nd one arrives if they are different, but I think it's a few weeks out still.
Yup waiting for my second also but not sure when it will be in but will see how it feels in comparison. We all know Vortex is pretty on top of things and want their customers happy so I’m the long run I am sure the scope will come to be known as having a hiccup at first but good in the long run like the Gen II

My elevation Turret feels amazing. Haven't had an issue yet with it locking automatically, down when dialing. I like the "clunk" feel and mine is pretty "loud"
My Elevation Zero indicator mark is off from the turret lines a micro fraction .....nothing off the lines, just not Exactly perfect. However, it's a minor issue and my Bushnell XRS3 scopes are off more so.
Windage turret line up is perfect, although pretty much not audible while clicking.
A quick look out a dirty window..............I'm impressed with the glass so far on this rainy day.

My parallax adjustment is nice and smooth............firm, but easy enough to turn. Power ring is easily adjustable with two fingers...........almost too easy.
Just compared for 10 minutes side x side on tripod with a Bushnell 6-36x56 XRS3. It's been raining and cloudy all day. Got a bit of a break and sun came out, so I took advantage. Looking at roof shingles 150 to 350 yards away..........the clarity and "pop" of the Gen 3 Razor is noticeable. However, for the money the Bushnell XRS3 (onX Elite discount price of 25% off).....it's incredible.
Both scopes are amazing and neither will hold you back much. I'm excited to get the Burris XTR3 from cameraland to compare.

There's a huge difference between how mine feels (hard to turn, clicks seem forced) and one I tried in a store today (felt amazing). It's not bad enough for me to bench it, but it will go back sometime soon when I don't have matches coming up. The difference between mine and the one I tried at a gun store today was absolutely astonishing.
Was loading up to head to range today, rifle leaned against tail gate, dog runs over and knocks my rifle over onto.....concrete. Lands on windage turret bolt knob and brake. Scopes mounted in a M-brace all screws trq'd to 55"/#, shifted 0.9mil left, held perfect vertical. I don't know what to say. 23# of rifle weight landing on turret. Spun the dog shit left and right, up and down, it rtz and tracked properly to 400y after side impact and a rezero. Ive had this happen to a nx8 and it shifted too, and that rifle only weighed 8.5#

According to some - NF’s never lose zero so not sure how that’s possible (sarcasm intended). But you did exactly the right thing after that happened and checked your zero and adjusted accordingly
My turrets are “okay” not the worst mentioned and not the best, but my parallax needs a throw lever (meaning it’s too tight to turn) so I’m sending back to have Vortex take a look at both, oh and my hash marks are slightly off center from main indicator line so we’ll see if they can align that better, but if not it’s not enough to bother me.
Received in my 2nd one. It’s the same as the first. Turret markings align, smooth mag ring and the turret stays unlocked while dialing. Parallax is stiff, but manageable. It sucks that some have had issues, but hopefully those issues have been remediated.
If the turrets were more audible, and slightly more tactile, these would be incredible. I suppose that’s my one ask…that and a line on the turret body to make it easier to quickly see what is dialed.

Got my second one earlier this week (this one from Liberty.....Thanks Scott). It's perfect..........turret marks line up, everything is nice. They nailed it with these Gen 3's.

yup. agreed. dropping the line on the turret body (was on the gen2) is a big mess up

Hopefully the parallax tension is a good bit lighter. I liked Bill’s quip that it needs a throw lever, mine certainly felt like that.

Mine has loosened up a bit and it’s acceptable now. It was pretty tight though.
I’d say Vortex addressed my main complaints regarding stiffness in the turrets and parallax, but I wouldn’t say turret adjustment feel or click loudness is any better or worse. The locking function does seem cleaner though, with better resistance at desired points of travel.
