Rifle Scopes Vortex Razor HD LHT FFP 4.5-22x50 Review and Comparison to Bushnell ET LRHSi 4.5-18x44

@Glassaholic
Sorry for necroing your thread, but was wondering if you've had a look through the new 4-25 LOW models, and have some insight on how they compare optically to the LHT?
Need a new scope for my hunting rifle, and I'm currently trying to decide between the Vortex LHT, Element Nexus Gen2 and the new Delta Stryker HD 3.5-21.
Vortex is the lightest, Element wins in ergonomics and mechanical performance and Delta should have best FOV and most compact package, all based on what I've noted from reading pretty much any and all reviews on all of these.
I'm inclined to believe the Element would be the optically superior choice, but I live far above the arctic circle and have no opportunity to look through any of these prior to purchase.

I have the element 4-25x on an AR and the LHT on my hunting rifle. I'd say the glass is very comparable between the 2. Almost identical.

The element has much better controls. Vortex a good bit lighter.

If it was a pure big game hunting rifle where you are just carrying it the vast majority of the time and only need to dial for 1-2 shots, then I'd use the LHT. Which is what i did. IF you are going to bang some steel with it or shoot varmints with more knob turning, then I'd do the element.

I like how lightweight my LHT 4.5-22 is which is the #1 reason I bought it, that it has daylight bright illume, and that the IQ is decent, but that's about it.

The turrets are definitely not great and heading to the disappointment side of things. I didn't research well and found I don't prefer the 6 mil per rev turn either. The windage turret is like those on a $200 scope, this was hard to wrap my head around??!!

Razor, as in the Flagship name, nope not to me. Thankfully I didn't pay near retail and the warranty is very good.

I kinda wish I had spent the extra money and got the March 4.5-28 instead however it'd be annoying sending it back to Japan in case it breaks.

I never bought the Bushy 4.5-18 but the 3-12's were pretty good except for the 50 cogs but 100 splines which meant my zero was off .1 mil. I think Bushy changed that at a later date??
It's a neat hunting reticle. I'd rather not deal with Bushy CS either.

I'm leaning mostly towards the Element, should be the same lenses as in Zeiss LRP S3 4-25, but with smaller tube for weight and their own turrets and ocular.
Gun is mostly for hunting, but I end up grabbing it for banging steel as well very often, probably shoot ~1k rounds on steel or paper with it per year.

Bushnell isn't relevant, can't get it here in Norway.
If it was within my budget, I'd get the March, no doubt, but I NEED a motorcycle, so I'll probably have to put the March on hold, and get that when I finally break and build a custom rifle.

From my experience, the big LRHSi has been excellent. No need to deal with their CS. Still chugging along. Up to 4k rounds across multiple platforms in 5.56 and 6.5 Creed. Currently pulling duty on the STX...

I'm not a glass snob (I've confirmed this for myself, and you'll believe it here in a moment...) - for me, the difference in IQ between the Vortex and the March isn't worth getting excited about. If you're dialing on the clock and enjoy counting clicks, the March is definitely a better choice. I say this having mounted and shot both scopes on the same rifle.

The LHT is on my Tac Ops Delta-51 at the moment because the March is... in Japan, I think, but I guess I need to check. Behind the scope(s), I prefer the Minox ZP5 to either (which is on my KM OPS-51), even if only marginally. Of course, it's also bigger, heavier, and doesn't have locking/capped turrets... so not really in the same class.

Others have already chimed in with first hand experience so I would lean heavily on their recommendations.

I have not looked through the LOW 4-25's, only the LOW 6-36's which while made at the same factory are different optical formulas so you can't just assume that if the 6-36 performs a certain way so will the 4-25; however, you can get an "idea" of how well a particular lineup of scopes might be.

I was very impressed with the Element 6-36 and like the fact that Element went with the 30mm tube for the 4-25 to keep it lighter making it more appealing for crossover use, whereas the Zeiss S3 4-25 with the 34mm is a bit chonky for crossover IMO. Element has very good turrets and bright illumination which also plays in its favor. It is 9oz heavier than the LHT but with wider FOV and better turrets might be worth the "weight". In fact, I have a good relationship with Element so I might see if I can't grab one next year for a review with the LHT...

I have a review of the LHT with the Delta Stryker 3.5-21 coming out next year, I have the LOW 6-36 review I will try to get out over the Christmas break...

If the element turrets are as good on the 4-25 as they are on the 6-36 and glass is close then it could make for a very good, if not excellent, crossover recommendation.

I also have the 6-36x theos. Turrets between the 4-25x and 6-36 are close, but theos is better. Glass on the theos is significantly better.
