Anybody have any experience with one? I have the VP9, and love it. Just looking for something a little smaller to carry.

I just got mine two weeks ago, so now I have both full size and SK. I love them both! It grips, handles and shoots like a dream. I am still looking for a IWB holster for it though.....not much out there.
Check out T-Rex Arms. They offer the nomad, raptor, and sidecar inside the waistband holsters for the vp9sk.
I shot my vp9 for the first time today. I shot it as well as or even better than some other guns I have hundreds, if not thousands of rounds through. If I continue to shoot it well and it continues to be reliable, I'll also be looking hard at the SK version.
Same pistol, little smaller = not same pistol
Sight radius is different. Grip is shorter. Just because its smaller doesn't mean it's the same. That is why I was asking for people with experience.
Shot the sk along side an M&P 2.0 compact
Dont own either but have say the 2.0 had less “flip” than the H&K. Could be the aggressive grip but the SK seems to have a higher center of gravity.
Now, a friend manages a large gun shop in the area. He’s never sent an H&K back for repair. Can’t say the same for the M&P.

The SK has been great. Easy as hell to shoot and easy to carry in Florida weather/clothing

I have a fullsize VP9 and a P30sk. I waited for about a year for the VP9sk to be released and it never happened so I bought a P30sk, then 2 months later the VP9sk was released... just my luck. I've handled a couple VP9sk's now, too.
Just something to consider; I like the P30sk as a carry gun better. Ergos/feel is very similar to the VP9sk. The biggest differences are the trigger and a thumb safety. I have the DA/SA model, and IMO the long heavy DA pull is great for a concealed carry pistol. The Vp9 trigger is light enough I can see someone in the heat of the moment pulling a shot way before they necessarily want to. Training negates that idea a lot, but when it comes to the civilian world and deadly force, a few extra pounds to keep from an ND is a good thing in my book. The SA trigger pull is not bad; I've felt better, but it works. Also, I love thumb safeties for concealed carry pistols. I've had safeties on every pistol I've ever carried besides the VP9 and it's 2nd nature to pop the safety off in the draw stroke. On the whole, I think the P30sk is a great fit for CCW.
Now with that said, I think the VP9sk trigger is better, and I think the grip is a little different than the P30sk; it may be mental but it feels SLIGHTLY better to my hand (I think the P30sk safety rubs my thumb knucle). I think I would shoot smaller groups with the VP9sk, and I still think it would be an excellent carry gun and if I end up with the spare cash, I'd like to buy one. If H&K would have announced the VP9sk at SHOT last year I never would have got the P30sk, for better or worse.

tansinator , I own a VP9 and love it, light years ahead of the M9 I was issued in the Corps, the grip and the trigger are a dream. Having fairly large monkey paws the grip of the VP9 is 100% what I needed. I did just buy a VP9SK for my girlfriend this Xmas and even with the funky mag bottom that adds an extra finger hold, I still don't have the same two-hand wrap that I do with the full-size, but it will be handy when I'm at the range with her breaking it in as it's too large for her with without the standard mag, so I just ordered another standard 10rd mag as well. I would agree it'll be an easier CC, but my CompTac holster works with the full size just fine and that's inside my belt. I will say it feels very similar to the full-size, but would agree subcompacts handle differently if you have bigger hands, hope I'm adding something for you and not just stating the obvious...
Good call, these SK frames are no doubt similar and will give you a good sense of handling. Clearly you have good taste in firearms already, or you would not be asking about a second HK!

I have a VP9SK full Size VP9 and a P30SK. The VP9SK is EDC along with a Shield if I need something a bit slimmer. I have a bunch of Legacy Firearms Co. Holsters, they'e a long wait but very nice.
The vp9sk is the first subcompact that gives the g26 a run for the money. Pure sex. Get the grips set up right and the gun is an extension of your arm and shoots like a laser. Most accurate production strikers on the market.
I have both vp’s also and the p30sk I prefer hammer guns but the triggers on the VP’s are hard to not like. The mags with the pinky extension will print a bit more but make the grip a lot more solid. Bottom line if you like the standard VP you should like the sk. And they are very accurate. Gave me a lot of respect for striker guns.
I recently purchased the VP9 SK and i have roughly 400 rounds through it. My initial impression is that its the nicest handgun I've ever shot. It's super easy to shoot accurately and fast, fits the hand great, best striker trigger I've shot, I like the mag release now, it took a trip or two to get used to. I just cant say enough good things about this gun. Zero malfunctions in 400 rounds right out of the box. I bought the LE model, it came with factory night sights and an extra mag for an extra 100 bucks, can't go wrong there. This gun makes me want to throw my Glock 19 gen 4 in the trash. Highly recommend. I also already bought a very high quality threaded barrel for it to shoot with my new .45 octane suppressor. My Glock 19 gen 4 will not go fully back into battery with my 45 octane can. I guess Gen 4's are a pain in the ass to run suppressed. Anyway this gun is a 10 out of a 10.
