Vudoo Gun Works V-22 Rimfire Bolt Action

Hey all.

For you guys running longer barrels and faster twist rates, how is your longer range accuracy?

Seems like what I have read, the average length is 20-24”.
Try these.

Vudoo rifles and their owners deserve challenging targets. I have another KYL target up here:

Here are a couple of versions of the target.

Work in motion. V22 360 20” mtu, ai at-x chassis. will be using Leupold mk5 5-25 pr2 and mostly inside 300 yrds can’t decide on the mount. I have a 20moa spuhr mount already; I don’t know if that would be manageable with 30moa action rail.

Is v22 360 action rail standard 700 rail?

Whether it would work or not would have to do with the amount of elevation in your scope. I took a quick look and it looks like you have 35 mils of elevation which should be plenty with 50 moa of cant in the base and mount.

And no the scope bases are not Remington 700 bases. You need to get them from Vudoo.

Many of you know that I've designed and made a number of items for my Vudoo 3-60 using my 3D printer (you can see some HERE).

On the Vudoo Gun Works Facebook page (edit: BUT NOT FROM VUDOO, see messages below)), I saw a new magazine follower that lets you put 12 rounds in a 10-round magazine, but I typically load 11 (by using a low-profile magazine extension) so that I have that extra round as a "spare" or as an extra sighter, especially since our local matches typically have five shots per target and I'll use the one extra to verify adjustment for wind and still easily keep count.

But that 12-shot follower makes you lose the load-assist buttons, and I like using them and wouldn't want to give them up. I wondered if I could design and make a follower that let me load 11 rounds and still keep the spring buttons...?

Here is a photo of that 12-shot follower (from the FB page):

And here is the design of my 11-shot follower that does indeed let me keep the spring buttons. Of course it also lets me actually load 12 cartridges in my magazines that also already have a low-profile 1-shot mag extension on them.

I've only shot a few magazines through the gun using it, but so far, perfect feeding! Maybe Vudoo will consider offering one like it.

Vudoo Gun Works does NOT make a 12 round follower. All we make is the standard red follower that goes in our 10 round polymer mag. There are a few folks making different followers like ones made by MK Machining but it designed for their 5 round extension.

My mistake — I saw it on the VGW Facebook page and incorrectly presumed it had been posted by one of your own folks! Sorry ‘bout that.
No worries. I believe the ones posted on Facebook are from Anarchy Outdoors. Good guys to deal with. I was just wanted to ensure people don't call up Vudoo looking for them and then get frustrated when we tell them we don't sell them.

Yes and no. This one is the 2.0 with the wider dogbone, and it’s too wide. I’m trying to get ahold Dan to see if I can get the old style.
The mounting hole pattern for the bolts is different. If you can't get it from Dan/PQP, let me know -- I have both an old HoleShot (polished aluminum) and a new PQP (black anodize) here myself. The new one was too wide for my preference also, so I designed and 3D-printed a dogbone that's just like the old style width and angle but that fits on the new PQP mounting hole pattern. It's not Delrin, but certainly does the job and my stocks ride smoothly on it. MIKE

I posted some new rimfire KYL targets here:

I have one of the first 360s out the door.

I finally managed to break the bolt stop. Half way through a 120 round prone match...

I got home, pulled the barrel and boxed up the action. Back to St George it goes.

Hopefully it wont be more than a few weeks to get the action machined for the new bolt stop.

How is this one shooting with the longer barrel?
It shoots extremely well. Any and all ammo groups in it with zero issues. I need to lot test it to get some ammo with better SDs which I will hopefully be doing next month. Ammo across the board is definitely running considerably slower. I wont be running Center X in this thing as the stuff I had left from my other rifle was barely averaging 1020fps.

I was taking apart a couple of my magazines, and the little mag base insert went flying on one of them. After an initial panic, I found it... but to avoid a potential critical stoppage in the future, I decided to add some extras of that to my spare parts bag. Since I couldn't find them easily for purchase, I created a 3D model and printed some. Here's how the model looks:

I've added these to my 3D-print items page HERE (item # 7A), if anybody else wants some.

The DBM allows for closer fit of their mags. I have both, I prefer the Vudoo inlet.

Are there any fitment issues with changing out the Vudoo DBM with a Hawkins or MDT bottom metal on a foundation stock? I've found the Vudoo DBM doesn't work with ATRS AICS aluminum magazines and would need to swap it out. However I'm concerned the stock inletting won't allow for it.

Just finished my first Vudoo Build. Super excited to go try it out!

Has Vudoo mentioned an updated timeline for the 15 round magazines? I mainly care about the adjustable feed height anyway.
Here was their reply from October of last year....don't hold your breath!

"Thanks for the inquiry. We’re still trying to get the magazines just right and we’re not there yet. It will be sometime next year before they are out."

No updates to the ETA when I spoke with them last about my order (maybe 2 weeks ago). I'm guessing we'll see it on their media feed when they're ready. Even tried to pre-order some and they said that was a no go.

I'm curious what it will be like. At this point we're seriously looking at launching our own billet mag

I have 2 of the L3i Elite mags and they're definitely very nice quality. I haven't actually shot with them, but they feed my dummy rounds like a champ. Tested them several times because I wanted to make sure they were adjusted properly to not have feeding issues.

Oh please do! I would 100% buy several if they used the angled feeding system like the RimX mags. I have your Billet mags for the CZ also and love them. Actually had the RSO and a group of people at the range come and check them out the other day. They were all very impressed with the quality and look.
