I don't think so as it would be HUGE news here. Unless it just happened and you're super early to hear.I might have missed this but did Vudoo sell to new owners? What’s the info on that anyone know?

Saw it from a Facebook group. Said that Paul was taking an extended vacation and they are going through ownership change.I don't think so as it would be HUGE news here. Unless it just happened and you're super early to hear.
#40 is missing for me lolMight want to read 40 also where I addressed it all after a discussion with Greg.
Your first and second sentences say it all.Might want to read 40 also where I addressed it all after a discussion with Greg.
Same. Not sure what's up, maybe it's because I'm not a member of the website.#40 is missing for me lol
You wanted something, they couldn't or didn't want to do it, so they referred you to someone else who could do it well. And you ended up with a rifle you seem happy with. Why does it seem like you hold this against them? They actually referred me to David Lott to help me build the rifle as I had specified and yes it cost a little more but I got exactly what I wanted from an actual gunsmith in half the time Vudoo quoted
I don't hold anything against them at all and have a few Vudoo rifles and love all of them. Not certain how many custom rifles that you have had built where the smith tells you NO you can't have that, this was first for me. What surprised me was how they operate now versus just a few years ago and believe pistols are now their focus....didn't mean to come off like I am slamming them. You wanted something, they couldn't or didn't want to do it, so they referred you to someone else who could do it well. Gentleman's name is Jacob. Not that it matters any, but do the new owners of vudoo have a name? Will it still be named vudoo or moving on to something else?
Yeah, me too! Then I logged and and saw post #40 appear. Wtf kind of deal is that shit?

My 360 runs the same way, not nearly as smooth as my RimXMade I video of it in action to show that it is indeed still a issue.

I'm not saying this is the issue, but I have issues with my Gen 1 on metal mags verses using the nylon mags. I'm not sure what it is. I did have an issue with my Gen1 on a nylon mag the other day as the follower seemed to be sticking. Cleaning the inside of the magazine with alcohol and a q-tip seemed to solve that issue.Made I video of it in action to show that it is indeed still a issue.

I am not aware of a 1.25 thread protector, however, any decent gunsmith that could thread your barrel can machine a protector in their sleep.Going to get my 1.25 barrel threaded for a can. Anyone know if there is a company that sells a 1.25 thread protector for 1/2x28 ?

I figured they could but thought a manufactured one would be much easier on my wallet. Might have to go that route though.I am not aware of a 1.25 thread protector, however, any decent gunsmith that could thread your barrel can machine a protector in their sleep.
Is there a brake out there that's close to the same o.d. as the barrel?Could also just put a smaller one on as it’s just there to protect the threads. Or a cheap brake.
Probably not as large but will be close. Worth a look. Just there to protect the threads. Is there a brake out there that's close to the same o.d. as the barrel?
Here is a question that i have asked before but answers dont seem to calm my anxieties. Those 1.25 straight barrels are very heavy and them being free floated, all the weight rests on a very small part of the action. Is the Vudoo action strong enough to support that ?
Thanks
Gilbert

This is something I've never heard before. Can you explain how it is that a heavy barrel does this? Thanks.BTW, with that heavy barrel it is so much fun to see the trace of the bullet on the way to a steel plate at long distance. It's almost like shooting a PCP air rifle.

Old thread I know, but recent experience with Vudoo customer service was so horrible that it needed mentioning. 2nd time back to Vudoo for multiple issues including sticky bolt. No resolution and $250 bill to me!On their website, Vudoo states, "You won’t be disappointed…we guarantee it!"
They go on further to say, "We have a customer satisfaction guarantee policy at Vudoo Gun Works. If you are not completely satisfied with your rifle, please contact our customer service team to discuss the options available to you."
That's pretty impressive and contributed to me buying a V22-360 as a shop demo/competition gun and now for several of my clients waiting for the arrival of their Vudoos. But I wonder what happens if you get a rifle that just doesn't perform as well as you think it should, like compared to other rimfire rifles that you have. I suspect what they'd do is offer a barrel swap... does anyone here have experience with that?
$250 bill for what?Old thread I know, but recent experience with Vudoo customer service was so horrible that it needed mentioning. 2nd time back to Vudoo for multiple issues including sticky bolt. No resolution and $250 bill to me!
Has your friend tried a different trigger?$250 bill for what?
I have a friend that has had to send his back MULTIPLE times because it will fail to fire at least one center X per mag. They can’t seem to get it fixed but least they haven’t charged him.
He has pretty much stopped shooting it due to having to lift the bolt multiple times per magazine to fire one round.
I'm curious too, $250 for what? I had to send my barreled action in to them to get my barrel set back since I have an early Gen 1 V22. They paid for shipping both ways, didn't charge for the service, and even threw in a 30MOA base for free (I had a 20MOA and wanted 30).Old thread I know, but recent experience with Vudoo customer service was so horrible that it needed mentioning. 2nd time back to Vudoo for multiple issues including sticky bolt. I’ll have to ask. He has a TT diamond in it currently like we all do so I’ll see what he’s has put in it.Has your friend tried a different trigger?

The early Gen 1's have a breachface that if you dryfire much can cause a burr to develop on the underside of the bolt that then catches on the ejector. This causes the bolt to stop midway through you bringing it to the rear. So they set the barrel back by a fraction of an inch to change the breachface. Plus they replaced the part of the bolt that had developed the burr and also timed the bolt ignition whatever that means.I have a gen1 as well. Why did you have to have the barrel set back?
$50 for shipping. $200 labor @$100 per hour to assess sticking bolt, accuracy, and damaged tenon threads for action bolt. Incidently, I was emailed yesterday stating there would be no charge after all, as the warranty changes had not been updated on the web page and I had not been informed that I would be charged if no warranty work was validated. Worked out ok for me, but the future does not bode well.$250 bill for what?

What trigger is he running? If it's a Timney, swap it.$250 bill for what?

I had numerous issues until I swapped out a Timney, has he swapped the TT with another, and still has the issue?TT diamond
So does my TT....the question is has he isolated the action and trigger to see if it stays, or goes away by changing the trigger, or even a different bolt for that matter? My BnA works perfectly.
He’s on vacation and not answering messages lol. Once he’s back I’ll do some digging and see what all he’s tried. I believe he has changed triggers and bolts but not certain. Three of us ordered.gen 1 vudoos in like 2018 or something pretty early. Mine has been flawless but the other two have had issues. So does my TT....the question is has he isolated the action and trigger to see if it stays, or goes away by changing the trigger, or even a different bolt for that matter?

For what it is worth, I'm 65 in a Fdn. stock for 2.5 years without a concern. But 55 will surely do.@RAVAGE88 Mike, you once said 65 for all action screws in all cases - Foundation Stocks says 55, is this an exception?
