You seem to be making lots of comments about this subject. But not answering ANY questions. It is assumed that you are somehow tied to TR, because of your position, if so, then answer the questions. If not, then why are you so supportive?

i'm still waiting for the answer to this question: are you accusing the op and/or the maker of the video of being a liar? it's a simple question with a simple yes or no answer.

Re: WARNING ~ TR ~ My experience

I am not saying you did anything other than post a video. And did the work shown, While I have no doubt that you are a capable rifle smith. However the man that brought you the rifle is another story. I personally think there is something hokie going on with that. All of a sudden 4 years after the purchase he is having problems with the rifle. The accuracy is bad, sounds to me like he shot the barrel out, And possibly was looking to get something for nothing. And after being told no but the company he got you to go along with what has just happened. Have you asked him if he tried to take it back to them to get it fixed (4 years later) also that all of a sudden there are all these guys out there that have purchased these rifles and had nothing but problems with them. Which I find that very hard to believe. And for those of you that find it hard to believe that someone would do that to a rifle they paid money for . I have seen people go in to car dealers with intentionally messed up cars just to get a new one under the warranty right before it ran out. Some People do messed up things to get what they want. I also think that this website as big as what it is is chock full of people that are willing to tear any company down that they either don’t have any REAL experience in shooting their rifles that can be verified in the real world and not on some forum such as this. Or that they are the paid competitors of tactical rifles or at least have some connection to one of the several companies to them. I think also that there has to be more to the story behind that letter that frank posted. Remember there is always two sides to every story. And all you are getting on here is the bad accusatory side. why dont you call the companty and let them defend thier product instead of just running off making wild accusations.

It appears the OP attempted to contact them, but they weren't interested in a discussion.

Re: WARNING ~ TR ~ My experience

You have proven that you really are an idiot with that last post. Barrel shot out? Please! If it was shot out why would he pay a smith the rechamber it? Not to mention he never fired a single round.

He also clearly said he put it in the safe because of the initial fuck ups with that rifle. If somebody couldn't install a straight rail or a good trigger I wouldn't send my rifle back to the stupid shits either. And furthermore it's not like he knew about the other problems until he paid a competent smith to do the trigger and he found the other stuff.

You truly are a fucking idiot.

Look up FAIL on dictionary.com and this post shows up!^^^^^^^^^^^

"A paid competitor" really?! So what is an unpaid competitor? Charity services?
At this point in time is apparent that you don't shoot your rifles that your are so proud of AND that TR as a gun smithing service is downright dangerous and childish in their ways.

I'd probably have done the same thing. Having a bad rifle happens, usual recourse is to send it back. But paying someone else to do the work, then posting a nasty video online, and then contacting them eith a link to the video and a 'nastygram'? "Hi there, I've smeared you all over the internet about something you had no idea about. Want to talk to me about it?" Nope. I'm not going to gain anything by wasting my time with you, and you're being an asshole to boot.

Why didn't you call them first? Maybe ship it back to them and give them the chance to look at it, realize it hadn't been shot much, and give them the opportunity to make it right, before the online video?

Not that I really give a shit.

You would trust your life to the same guys that ravaged the build previously? Willingly giving up your investment AGAIN to the same hacks that couldn't even time a brake properly? The most basic operation in machining the barreled action....

Kind of like the 2009 group builds, soon as I got mine I sent it to GAP to have in inspected and deemed safe to shoot.

This has to be a joke on us.

Everyone can pick their title under their name. Private first class is the default name.

Re: WARNING ~ TR ~ My experience

Hokie, hard to believe, like your contention professionals avoid the place, yet you were here on a Saturday night and insantly saw the post. Knowing we don't discuss your rifles, having heard, "from TR" that we're this or that, you still managed to see the post and video, in record time. It was dumb luck right.

Then knowing we have no experience on the subject you still managed to call an armorer buddy to inspect your rifles? Why bother, should have dismissed the site and moved on by your own admission, there is nothing to see here.

You still after repeated attempts, avoid the real questions, focusing instead on the stock, or attacking the owner of the rifle. Two sides to every story, you certainly know the TR side and are willing to take their word.

My letter, two sides, of course, but who responds to a letter from an Attorney with the word, laughable . The response never got a reply, and you have to figure a company who sends a letter then ignores the response, especially that one is being dishonest about something. That same company can easily hide poor service. Focusing on the uneducated customer over the discerning one. My understanding is he did contact them and was told he couldn't shoot, that was the start of the problem.

No, you have an agenda, we'll call it an affiliation, because you're not being 100% truthfully, how you ended up on a forum people like avoid, the need to inspect your rifles despite knowing better, then coming on here to defend TR.

Command + R is the F5 equivalent for Macs IIRC. You can also remap it under system preferences.

1911fan

Are you really that dense? The OP had no idea of all the problems until he took it to another smith TO REPLACE THE TRIGGER. Those crooks knew what they had sent out the first time. Even if he had sent it back it would have only been for the problem he was aware of (the trigger), and even if they did fix that I guarantee you they wouldn't go over the whole rifle to double check their shitty work. It would have taken a fool to send it back to them.

If I was in his place I would have contacted my attorney as soon as I noticed the problems.

Re: WARNING ~ TR ~ My experience

To the OP, I gotta say that I'm sorry for your experiences. And the continuing drama.

To MarcS, I gotta say "good job, good on ya'," and keep up the good work. It appears that more 'work' is being churned out for you to do. "Tactical Rifle Whisperer" could be the new company-branch name.

And in closing, somewhere in ndnLand, a village is missing an idiot! I seriously can't believe the gobbling that's taking place here. We haven't seen antics like this since Leftenent Boot-Butt, or something to that effect.

How does this end? Just like trainwrecks, you know it's going to happen, but you can't turn away, either.

This would imply that tactical rifles was capable of coming close to the quality of BlackOps Rifles which, based on this video, is absolutely impossible. Mike is in a completely different league than the crap this poor guy got delivered. Good luck with your three "fantastic" rifles.

I also took the liberty of editing this so that it would be easier for you to understand...

this wuld imply that tactical rifles can be close to the goodness of BlackOps Rifles which based on this video cant hapen ever. mike is in a whole nother leegue than the crap this poor dude got good luck with yer 3 fentastic rifles.

Defend your personal rifles all you want but the scenario that you are implying took place, for the sole purpose of disparaging Tactical Rifles, makes absolutely zero sense. Your post also attacks the character of the person who very generously is warning others about a horrible experience he had with Tactical Rifles in the hopes that none of us suffer the same consequences he did.

Re: WARNING ~ TR ~ My experience

Stand by,

Next you'll hear this post has increased sales, and everyone who hates SH will be emailing tons of support their way.

That will be after the bully move to force everyone's silence on the subject. A campaign wil begin to pressure the site, the rifle owner, and Marc to never speak of this in public again. Wonder if that wil include YouTube?

David you know you're reading this, call or email, things would fare much better for you to man up rather than hide behind toothless letters. Remember I covered your ass with your disgruntled employee, happy to mediate a solution this time too, but you have to step up, not behind.

Re: WARNING ~ TR ~ My experience

Hahahah... so it finally comes out that this guy is in fact working or personally related to the Tactical Rifles business. And yet he comes on here and tries to look like a third party customer who has no interest in the company. Well NDN, I can say you've offically become a full fucktard, and have made your buddies business even more shameful. Your buddy came on here and was a complete douchebag, so please save your buddies business the shame, and tell the rest of your less than average intelligent friends to stay off here..

I'll have to say that I lurk here some, and this was definitely one of the more entertaining threads I've come across.
A+ work gentlemen.
When I ever get around to putting my AR down and picking up a bolt gun thats not a .22... I'll certainly avoid TR.net.

Re: WARNING ~ tacticalrifles.net ~ My experience

Damn.... what a thread.

I was going to stay on the sidelines on this but since shank's box is full I got to give him some props. Shank comes up to bat and hits another homerun.

ndnboy71, lesson to be learned... If you are going to test the water here, better make a new forum user name or Shanks gonna get you.

Re: WARNING ~ tacticalrifles.net ~ My experience

^^^^

I think the lesson learned is actually come clean, don't be an idiot. If Rob Looney would have just said "look, that rifle is several years old. We were just learning, and we fucked that one up bad. I don't know where the communication went wrong, but call me and let's get this squared away. We have learned a lot in the last several years and we will gladly make this right for you. I apologize for the trouble this has caused, and we want to make it right."

Reminds me of that other idiot that tried bashing the XLR stock, when it turned out he was actually trying to market a competing product. (Thanks to the SH sleuths who found him out too!)

Re: WARNING ~ tacticalrifles.net ~ My experience

Same here, I usually dont get involved with these type of threads but...

First off this is very bad work and I feel bad for the OP. I cant believe that someone would even try and defend a company that puts out that kind of work but it takes all kinds. Thank you to the OP for the warning to all the good members of this site that may not have known what comes from that company. It makes you think and makes me greatful for all the outstanding smiths we have.

Second, Shank I always enjoy your post but this one is your best work yet! Well played sir.
