So, the count down has begun!! WOOT!

Anyways, anyone know the offical date? Can a can (snicker..) be bought before this date since paper work needs to be done? Can it be bought paid for and have the forms sent in before this date, or do we have to wait until the actual "day" to start the ball rolling.

Anyone have WA lawyers who know how to do trusts with WA specific language?

You have been able to own suppressors in the state for years, the new law allows you to shoot your firearm with them attached. By the time your background check goes through the law will be in effect - so have at it!

If you want help with getting a can my SOT Chip Miller of Cascade Arsenal can step you through the entire process. He's in Snohomish. Great guy.

If you live down south, I have a good friend who also is a class III dealer a runs a business called Hot Gates Armory. He's in Renton and is also a great guy.

Better to start now, it will take a long time to finally get the can. I'm betting there have been huge amounts of purchases because of this change.

Wasn't there some sort of quirky wording to the laws that made it legal to own one, but illegal to shoot with it?? Right??

Having a can and not being able to shoot with it, would be like owning a firearm and not have any ammo to put in the chamber.

It's against the law to shoot them until July 22nd, you can bring them with you legally.

That's what I was trying to say, guess answering his questions in order was a little confusing.

You never needed to set up a trust to buy a suppressor, only if you have a local sheriff/chief that won't sign off on the paperwork.

Buy the can, fill out the form 4, get fingerprinted and have passport photos taken, get local top LEO to sign Form 4; send it all in along with $200 and wait............wait some more........then pick up once the Form 4 with tax stamp shows up.

Or skip the fingerprints, photos and sign off and make or have a Trust made; then send all Trust Paperwork with Form 4 and $200 check.

Looks like we'll have Gemtech, Yankee Hill, and a couple others. I won't be able to make it up there until after my real job is over, 5-ish? and I'll bring an AAC Pilot in .22, a Gemtech in .17HMR, a YHM in .308, and an SWR Wolverine in .223.
I think we'll have hosts, charge for ammo maybe... in my case bring your own ammo. No Aguila subs or 60gr.

It may be close to home but it's over priced and not that great of place to shoot, IMHO.

I joined Clark Rifles a couple of years ago and for pure bench shooting it has English Pit beat hands down, and it's only $100 per year.

Yes.

Only open to the public on Sunday's, but if you go with a member you can go on Friday, Saturday or Monday and it's only $5.

Pretty good range, not ideal but the best in Clark County.
