That use to happen on a reg bases in Fla, until the insurance company's started having them check out afterward. Seem most had blown tranny's or engines proir to being "stuck in the sand". Many were burnt up in fields from Cat converters catching dry brush a fire. Strange how they would throw a rod or puke a tranny while never running after "Parked"

Knew someone that let a piece or rental equipment run out of oil. Diesel engine. The guy puts oil in it then calls the rental company telling them it broke down, doesn't know why. Rental company sends a mech out. He checks the oil and calls bullshit. Oil is fresh / light colored, obviously not been running through the engine. Dumbass should have drained the oil out of another piece of equip to fill it up if he was going to try to screw someone.

Run into those types every now and then. Had one guy all huffy and threatening lawsuits, cuss this, cuss that, it’s our fault his car crashed..... till I piped up, ok, just wait right here for a moment while I pull the flight recorder data. Guy couldn’t pay the diagnostic to get out of the shop fast enough.

Benz monitors everything. Sun sensor in the dash to adjust the ac for radiant solar heating.... what you claimed it was raining....

There was a beach in Wildwood, NJ where you could drive in the non summer months. A friend went for a weekend with his wife's brand new '84 Bronco II. I got a call at 0530 on Sunday to bail him out of jail.

He drove the Bronco on the beach and got stuck. The tide was rising and it was obvious that the car would be swamped, so he did the only logical thing - he called the police and reported it stolen. They told him to come in to file a report. He didn't walk out until I arrived with $1200.

He's still married to the same woman.

We had one at a old IH dealership I worked during H/S. It was a IH scout that was factory 392 engine in that extremely low geared 4X4. Traction lock in the rear an limited slip in the front. The owner had it for less that 3 months an it was in the shop every 2-3 months for broken axles under warranty. Broken axle in a scout, lower than rare. Long short once he got it back home he was adding 4 more tires (duels all around) an was pulling stuck shit while on pavement. The look on his face was priceless when he came back for more axles but was shown the photos. Long short he paid IH back for all the axle jobs. People,... they can B/S the fans, but the players will catch you ass at some point,...

It's Rod Run Weekend on the Long Beach Peninsula. I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess at least one rig will be devoured by the Pacific. Every year there's at least that one special idiot that donates their vehicle to Davy Jones.
Seen this happen soooo many times. 4th of July down in Long Beach is bad too. Always a couple rigs that get swallowed up by the sea.

I don't see an insurance claim here. I see fraud. Am I missing something or is there no tag on it? You don't get stuck and pull the tags for no reason. This is the kind of shit that arson suspects get nailed for.

stupid is as stupid does , guess his moma did not tell that fool parking that close to the water in a storm , was not a good Idea till next time oh rocket scientist ... what to do when the sign says bridge is out .
