I remember looking at a book at Sportsman's Warehouse a few years ago the either had a chapter or it was the whole book devoted to elk hunting (or maybe just big game hunting) using your mountain bike. I'd like to find that one again.

If you can carry two 200-pound riders on a big dirt bike, why not a rider and a dressed deer?
Obviously the 2 biggest problems of a motorcycle vs a quad are stability and soft ground. But once the ground is frozen (with not too much snow yet) the bike should pull weight almost as good as the quad. It would be a lot more manoeverable though.

I thought about loading my gun up on my KLR 650, but I would of called the woman for a truck if I had Big Buck Down. Considering how bloody my 4 wheeler always got packing one out.

I used my mountain bike on one deer lease I hunted... couldn't afford a 4 wheeler, and it would have been about 4 miles round trip
