Maggie’s Wearing an authentic ACU as a Halloween costume?

Re: Wearing an authentic ACU as a Halloween costume?

While I think it's a little odd for an adult to be dressing up in any Halloween costume, it isn't like he was marching around downtown in the middle of a July 4th parade.

Personally, it wouldn't bother me in the least unless he was saying things like "there I was, caught in the ambush, nothing but my K-Bar between my teeth and the confidence in my commando training to get me through..."

Actually, on Halloween, that wouldn't bother me too much either...just an invitation to make fun of him.

"Lighten up Francis" comes to mind.

My son is in the Corps. he sends me stuff all the time. his boonie from when he was in Afghanistan i wear with pride. his cover from boot camp. some other odds and ends stuff. i too save them for one day if he has a child. as far as wearing a complete uniform in public i dont. i dont want anyone to think i served when i didnt. just wasnt my deal when i was younger. I always correct someone if im wearing a Marines t shirt that he gave me and tell them my son is a Marine, I'm not. He earned that title i didnt. Most of my stuff comes from Marine Parents anyway.
