I mounted the scope noted above on a 10/22 using the factory base, set in burris xtr low rings. I did a quick mounting job, leveled the gun and the leveled the scope on the gun. Well I went out shooting last night, zero'd the scope at 25 yards and went back to shoot 100 yards. At 100 yards I ran out of elevation adjustment. It worked fine for that distance but any further and I would have to hold over. Is my set up wrong or is that all im going to get out of it?

Im shooting 36 gr. bullets traveling at 1280fps.

There are a number of things that can cause that. That scope should have about 16mils + or in the neighborhood of 56MOA of travel.

The 10/22 is known for barrel droop do to the way it is mounted, that's one possibility that could take up a bunch of travel, another is the receiver where the dovetails are cut not being true to the tube, and lastly the erector in the scope may have been centered high from the factory. (I have a Nightforce 8-32BR with 50MOA of travel, and even with a 20MOA rail it still zeroed 18MOA from the bottom at 100 yds)

The easy fix is to get some Burris Signature rings with the inserts that let you cant the scope and add elevation.

SWFA, Burris Signature rings for .22 rimfire

Good info XTR. The setup is temprary. The scope and rings will be going on a remy 700 shortly but I was confused/curious about this. Thank you!
