And all I can say is WOW! This thing is BUILT. It might be the highest quality rifle scope I have handled ever. No joke.

I'm just so very sad that Vortex seemed to get everything about it wrong for my kind of usage of the optic.

Who else wants to see this optic with a milrad tree style reticle, mil knobs?

Heck, a 1-8 version of this at $1800 with those features would almost end the other companies that compete in this area. Trijicon would be screwed badly on the VCOG as well.

Mil knobs would be nice. I have no need for a hold/wind tree on a 6x scope, though. I agree with J-Dubya, the PST reticle or something similar would be nice.

Used mine for the first time at a match this past week at the Bushmaster Tarheel 3 gun and it worked great. The dot is large enough to see but no so large to interfere with the target. 6x worked great for the longer steel. Nice big eye box and easy to bring up and shoot fast. I really like the scope. MOA knobs don't bother me as once zeroed I don't touch the knobs anyways as I use the reticle for everything. That said a MOA or Mil reticle would be nice as I am used to using them more than a BDC style but the BDC style works great in this scope for my .223 loads.

I probably would have bought one a few weeks ago had Vortex offered mil knobs and a different reticle. If the rumors are true that these features are on their way, then there is probably one in my future.

I really wanted to get this scope( Vortex Razor 1-6) but didn't like the reticle. I got tired of waiting, so I got this......

Bushnell Elite Tactical Rifle Scope 30mm Tube 1-6.5x 24mm 1/10 MIL

( The link is to Midway, but Liberty Optics gives you a better deal!)

The reticle works really well....Mil based.....on 1x its like a big red dot, and on 6.5, I used the reticle to get good hits on steel to 800 yards.....very versitle!

If you remember that this scope was made specifically for 3gun with .223/5.56 from 55/75gr bullets then it makes perfect sense. Mine is zero'ed at 200 and the BDC is dead on at 300 and 400. I haven't taken it to 500 yet. The reticle works great for its intended purpose. If you are trying to range with it or dialing your shots then its probably the wrong scope for your task.
