I'm looking for recommendation for training, either individual or class setting, in Western NC (Asheville area) or reasonable distance.

Specifically looking for a course/trainer focused on fundamentals. I'm a 3-gunner that's dipping a toe into PRS/NRL style shooting.

I'm in WNC and you won't find much semi-locally. If you are willing to drive downstate you might want to look at Frontline Defense, it's about 5 hours, not a bad drive though I've done a couple of matches there.

Valor Ridge might be another possibility for you.

Where do you shoot? I'm mostly at Clinton House Plantation in Clinton, SC (up to 1,000 normally with occasional 1 mile days) or a newer private members range in Old Fort / Lake Lure area. That gets me to 750+ in a private setting.

I took a 1 day "Intro to Precision" at Clinton House with Mike Sexton. Good class, but I'm looking for a different instructors take on things.

Yes, I've been a member of Clinton House for a couple of years and that is primarily where I do my long range shooting. Not too far away and since they expanded the amount of steel it's a lot better. Not heard of the lake Lure range.

I love to train and I'll go a long way to train at quality facilities and with good instructors.

Keep me posted too as I’m in WNC as well. I’m a member at Piedmont Gun Club but we only have 600yds. But I’m always looking for further distances and I would like to attend some classes too.
