We had a good thread going on this topic on the LT Wright Knives forum. I hunt caribou and deer here in AK, and have settled on the LT Wright bandit for what you describe. Key for me was the belly angle for good skinning without reducing its performance for other tasks.

Just received my LT northern hunter knife. Looks high quality… hopefully will see how it performs in a few months
