I use Bore Tech, TM, Kroil, and Ed's Red. I use only Brownells brushes and do use Iosso on carbon. I have not seen that the "carbon" cleaners do a whole lot on the first 6" of the barrel. I also don't shoot too many rounds before cleaning, but my barrels shoot better clean.
My $.02, and all that. </div></div>
We've got one here at work that costs a few thousand bucks. Sometimes if I have my gun here at work and the way I clean my guns I have no problem getting the barrel clean.
I've said this before and will say it again. You have to watch your gun. It will tell you what it likes and and how many rounds between cleaning etc...Some barrels like a some fouling in them and might shoot better dirtier then clean.
Depending on the caliber and chamber etc...some barrels might go several hundred rounds between cleanings some might only be able to go 60 rounds between cleaning etc...if you have to clean your barrel after only say 15 rounds in order to get accuracy back then you have problems with it.
