I wasn't sure if it was a pot pipe or a anal thermometer.
Guess it's for adding a drop of water at a time to your whiskey.....obviously Mom does not pay attention to my whiskey drinking style.
Your mother is a lady of grace and wants her son to have the proper way to add water to his whiskey. She continues to try but you Sir are apparently beyond help.Mom got me some Basil Hayden for Christmas....good enough to add some more to the melting ice.....

What name change on the Stag jr?View attachment 7771373
Right on. Glad you’ve recovered. Let us know your thoughts on it.I have 4 bottles of JD10...haven't cracked any yet after loosing my taste buds to covid. Now that I just got my taste back I'll crack one this week to try
Well our baby girl, Adrianna came at 8:17pm last night nice and healthy at 8lb 5oz... mom and baby are doing great and everyone is excited to get discharged tomorrow.
Well running out to get some food and things I stopped into a store I've frequented for years to pick up a special bottle to celebrate when we get home tomorrow.
The owner had a crazy price on this so I passed on it last week when I was there... but told I stopped in and told him I just had a baby and was looking for a special bottle to celebrate and asked if he would work with me on the price... he asked what the babies name was then said yea sure I'll work with you.. he came back with a SIGNIFICANTLY lower price that I was blown away with...nowhere near secondary but a little over msrp and asked I don't advertise it.. so I came home with 3 nice bottles for a very reasonable price. The Stagg JR is the last of the Stagg Jr's before the name change....Batch 17...
Can't wait to get home tomorrow and celebrate with mom cheers some Lot B and a very nice bottle of merlot I got her after 9 months sober.

Tryin out one of the tumblers Mommy got me for Christmas . A highball with Bird Dog .
Gotta say that personally Four Roses 1888 is my favorite for a highball
Wow thanks for the heads up . I'll keep a serious eye on em . They met be relegated to a shelf in da man cave .Not to rain on your parade, but my brother got me those glasses last year and about 6 months ago I spit out a piece of glass that broke off of the tip of the bullet indentation inside the glass. I looked at the other 3 and they all had some glass missing at the same place.
Zacapa is one of my favorites. Try Don Centenario 25 or 30 yr if you like Zacapa. I think it’s much better if you can believe that. Also El Dorado 25 puts them both to shame but harder to come by. Personally not big on Flora Cana or Four Square, just my personal taste.Kind of fell off the wagon while I was on vacation in Florida early in December...
I have tried numerous times to drink bourbon/whiskey and I just cant do it. I was a rum drinker before and I guess I am still a rum drinker.
Drank a bottle of Papa's Pilar Marquesas down in Florida.
Picked up some fine selections when I got home. The Tequila is the wifes... yack...

Check out Dos Maderas PX 5 + 5 rumThe Flora Cana was $40 and I think a 93 rated so I grabbed it... because lets be honest, while I am not poor, drinking $100+ bottles of liquor on the regular, just aint happening. It may be good, it may not be... I dont know, havent cracked it yet.
The Zacapa XO is fantastic. My neighbor is a whisky drinker and when he tried it he said "that shit is dangerous because its SO EASY to drink".
The Four Square Redoubtable was super highly rated so again, we shall see. Supposedly has a very distinct flavor since half the blend is aged in madeira wine casks. Might be for me, might not be for me.
Kind of like the Papa's Pilar Marquesa... Its aged in Bourbon barrels so it picks up that flavor. Im not a bourbon fan, so, for me the flavor was not spectacular with that harsh bourbon finish. I was told I would like the one that is aged in Sherry casks since its sweeter.
I bought nearly the entire allocation for my state of their 5 year selection way back when. It had a sort of JuicyFruit gum taste to it.
I’ve not had the 5 yr but it’s one of my favorite ryes. I can see that analogy! It’s very distinct. The 10 yr to 2,3,4 yr just gets more complex and danker if that makes sense. If ya got any left I’d love to try it. PM me.I bought nearly the entire allocation for my state of their 5 year selection way back when. It had a sort of JuicyFruit gum taste to it.
Just picked up some of the EHT single batch. Was recommended, and will be cracking it open tomorrow.
I see some others on here are fans of it as well.
