Cause i have once fired of both and they look indentical. I am getting into Reloading for the very first time so I'm wondering if I should ditch all my Federal brass and buy Lapua or work with what i've got and learn from it.

After my read of this thread I went out and picked up 200 rounds of Lupua brass on my lunch break. I am going to make the switch to Lupua only for my .308's

Will I need to trim it to 2.005 like I have all the FC & Win brass that I have preped in the past?

I changed lately to Lapua brass for my 308 bolts...nice brass but I don't let it near my semi 308's.

Understood JSTARSZ, I will only feed the Lupua to my .308 bolts and keep running the other brands through my M1A.
