Gents,

Can someone advice me on the most practical .308win chamber dimensions? My measured reloads measure .338 at the neck. I use Lapua brass but I want the option of using factory ammo as well.

I was going to ask my smith to cut the chamber to .340 but perhaps that's too tight? Should I go .341, .342 etc. This is a field rifle not a BR rifle.

The neck on my match reamer is .342 and will work with any factory ammo as well. I think .340 is going to be a little tight for a field rifle.
