@dttheliman Ya I stumbled across Mirage ULR website the other day. With what I am planning I'll need 100 MOA rail, which they make. Just hoping it doesn't jack the back of the scope up to much.

What distance are Ko2M guns zeroed at?

Here is the way I looked at it - the nf and the s&b both have around 100moa dial in the reticle , so to be able to use all that going up take it off the bottom, + makes my maths easier when I add the prism / or charlie to the array , just a thought 100 is high , you may struggle to get comfortable ?
I have a regular length 50moa rail on there now to use all the internal elevation available. (32mil/110moa). with this set up I can dial to 2800 ish and hold to 3200. its those last couple hundred that are hard to get, need another 10 mils. Depending on DA
I know the 100 moa rail will be high but in reality the couple hundred bucks is cheap just to try it out.
My math is
+6 mil for a 1000yard zero
+8 mil hold under to take me to very top of reticle
+16 mil for internal elevation
=30mil -->103 moa
It definitely complicates the on the clock holds and reticle use but pracitce.
I figure use the top of the reticle and keep dialing until I hit up 8mils then I can dial back to zero and start in on the center of the reticle. Just try not to make any mental mistakes

Gentlemen - thanks all for the inputs. I am yet to understand 100% of it, hence this question. My gunsmith buddy is in process of building a Ko2M gun chambered in 416 for me. We should end up close to 3050 MV using a 475 gr cutting edge lazer. My ballistics calculator tells me that we will require ~59-60 mils elevation for a 2 mile shot.
My nightforce scope has approx 29 mils of internal elevation max. The question I have is, that how much elevation should I build into rifle rail, so that I can have an offset at 100 yards and be able to dial the needed eleveation for 2 mile target? I would not like to have any holdovers or unders while trying to reach 2 mile.
If someone knowledgeable here can help me pick up the right amount of elevation range which will keep me in safe zone, I will be super grateful. Thanks a ton for the help !

Lets do some casino math - on a flat rail your scope as it is would have 14.5 mil up and 14.5 mil down (assume zero at 100) = your 29 mils , now to use your full reticle you need a cant of 14.5 mil (so 49.847363933885 moa so 50 moa as near as damn it) an easily purchased rail - ok so with that in mind - 29 mil on a 375 cheytac only gets me to 2750'ish yards , you would need to run your ballistics cals and see what is missing, so say you needed 49 mils to get to your theoretical 3560 yards , you are 20 mil short in your scope you woudl need a pic rail of approx 120moa , and your 3560 would be the top of your dial , but now your zero is a different issue , because your scope unlikely has a 20 mil subtensions for you to hold under for your zero , plus at this stage you need a giraffe neck to see through the scope - enter the prisims -

No giraffe neck needed and that's 94.4 moa in the base and mount. At Raton I needed 32.5mil to hit at 2 Miles and still had 2.5mil left in the turret + the full reticle to hold if needed.

You said "My ballistics calculator tells me that we will require ~59-60 mils elevation for a 2 mile shot." that is double what your scope has - when you use a canted rail you are compensating for that shortfall , likely they shoot a zero that is on a tall target and very high - yep just checked "Starting in June this season I went to a 94moa offset which is 35" high on my rifle at 100yards. It's pretty much a perfect zero at 1550 yard" so true zero in this case was at 1550 - not say good bad or indifferent , just another way to skin the cat .
Thanks for your inputs. I am surprised that even with 1550 yard zero you just require 32 mils elevation to hit 2 miles. I assume you require +32 mils over your existing zero. What is bullet you are using and the MV? I am planning to shoot 475 grain (416) cutting edge at 3050 MV and my ballistic calculator tells me that I will need ~59 mils if I have a 100 yard zero and 45 Mils if I have a 1500 yard zero. And my apologies in advance if my questions are too basic/stupid...am just too new to this area.

That’s a very light 416 bullet. Why choose that particular bullet?
I'm shooting a 550gr Cutting Edge Lazer at 2960fps in the 416 Hellfire.
The 475gr bullet is fine but most all of the 416 variants that are shooting matches and doing good are running 500-550gr bullets. The BCs and splash make up for trying to push a lighter bullet faster.
Have not run it as yet. The gunsmith friend of mine is trying to work out an improved propriety case for this bullet and in his past experience he has been able to push it out ~3050 fps. My job is to figure out the optics solution. But your numbers have left me more confused
. I am not sure that even with this higher MV, why my ballistics calculator is claiming that I need ~58 mils for 2 miles (with 100 yard zero). With 1500 yard zero (~46 mils). Is it possible for you to share some kind of a chart showing your bullet drop/ballistics uptill 3500 yards . It might be asking for too much help, but I am not able to solve this mini puzzle.The 475gr Lazer has a G7 of .458 and the 550gr has a .531 G7 which is a substantial amount, and drop numbers are going to vary dramatically depending on elevation and DA. My 550s at my home range at 3520 yards is 35mil and is 32mil in Raton and that's all DA ,the DA here averages 4800-5400' and DA in Raton goes 8800-9500'. Lighter and faster in the same caliber always gets past up by a little slower and heavier higher bc bullet.Have not run it as yet. Cannot thank you enough for this advice. I added a 61 MOA sphur mount. WIth an inbuilt 30 MOA rail, I got 91 MOA built into rail+scope base. I got 45 inches high at 100 yards (300 grain bergers in 338 LM) and had to actually hold under for targets between 1000-1500 yards. But everything worked flawlessly and in my 2nd match only for ELR got placed 5th...not bad for a novice like me. My elevation was dead right even at 2000 yard target. the only reason I was placed 5th and not 1st, was wind
