Re: What is your favorite quote/saying?

"Never let me slip, cause if I slip, then I'm slippin." - Dr. Dre

That's some deep shit right there.

or

"If you don't bring back my m****f*****n money or my m***f****n dope, you can forget about Christmas n***a, cause you ain't gon even see New Years." - Master P

Master P's calendar don't read like mine do.

Re: What is your favorite quote/saying?

Too many to list, but here are a few:

"Life is hard, it's harder if you're stupid"

"Because when every second counts, help is alawys minutes away."

From my High School Football coach, George Yamamoto....

"Practice does not make perfect. Practice makes better and you can strive for excellence. Excellence is an achievable goal while perfection is not. Perfection is an ideal and so cannot exist in the real world. To seek perfection is to set yourself up for failure."

Re: What is your favorite quote/saying?

From my First Sergeant:

"If its got tits or wheels, sooner or later it will fuck you!"

"If they stitched the whole up between their legs there would be a bounty on their head!"

"Welcome to the NFL, Buck!"

and my favorite,

"You told you this was good idea, cause I sure the fuck didn't!"

Re: What is your favorite quote/saying?

i have several, but these two stand out...for now

if you sit by the river long enough, you will see the bodies of your enemy float by -- japanese proverb

and this one

It is not work that kills men; it is worry. Work is healthy; you can hardly put more upon a man than he can bear. Worry is rust upon the blade. It is not the revolution that destroys the machinery, but the friction. Fear secretes acids, but love and trust are sweet juices. -- Henry Ward Beecher

this one i just think is funny

The factory of the future will have only two employees, a man and a dog. The man will be there to feed the dog. The dog will be there to keep the man from touching the equipment.
Warren G. Bennis

Re: What is your favorite quote/saying?

My grandfather had two sayings.

I'll be impressed with a man when he can piss up a rope.

At the end of the day there is no problem that can't be solved with a shotgun and a shovel

Re: What is your favorite quote/saying?

Everything is better when General Patton said it! I love to search videos of him speaking. AMAZING!

No bastard ever won a war by dying for his country. He won it by making the other poor dumb bastard die for his country.
George S. Patton

Favorite of all time...

"We'll win this war, but we'll win it only by fighting and by showing the Germans that we've got more guts than they have; or ever will have. We're not going to just shoot the sons-of-b*tches, we're going to rip out their living Godd*mned guts and use them to grease the treads of our tanks. We're going to murder those lousy Hun c*cksuckers by the bushel-f*cking-basket. War is a bloody, killing business. You've got to spill their blood, or they will spill yours. Rip them up the belly. Shoot them in the guts. When shells are hitting all around you and you wipe the dirt off your face and realize that instead of dirt it's the blood and guts of what once was your best friend beside you, you'll know what to do!" -- George S. Patton

Re: What is your favorite quote/saying?

One of mine after patiently listening to exscuses, or justifications. This from both inmates and occasionally from students who have pushed me past my time envelope, or just fellow employees who aren't quite getting it during an incident-

"How bout you just shut the f*ck up and do what your told"

Maybe not the best teaching method but sometimes an attention getter. And the old favorite

How bout you take two cupfulls of shut the f*ck up"

Re: What is your favorite quote/saying?

Funny one-
"It isth not da fault uh da wang!" - The Ladies Man

When I was a kid my martial arts instructor said this one to me.
"The empty barrel makes the loudest noise."

Re: What is your favorite quote/saying?

My personal favorite is"

A veteran - whether active duty, retired, or national guard or reserve - is
someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a blank check made payable to
"The United States of America," for an amount of "up to and including my life."

Re: What is your favorite quote/saying?

Here is another, I try to look at this one everyday.

“At the end of every day, you will have traded an irreplaceable part of your life for something else. Make sure it’s a fair trade.”

Re: What is your favorite quote/saying?

A quote from my old Sgt... Who had a degree in Theology & Philosophy;

" O'Neill never point a gun at someone you are not prepared to shoot"..........

Moral of the story.... Never Bullshit !

Re: What is your favorite quote/saying?

One my dad use to say after he was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer, not sure of it's origin, "If you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans for tomorrow".

My favorite at work, "A lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on mine". I use it a lot

Re: What is your favorite quote/saying?

My grandad's favorite and I use it daily,

"Can't never could" and one of mine

"Are you ignorant or stupid, I can fix one but the other is permanent"

Re: What is your favorite quote/saying?

And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth. Then I gathered my shit and got to work!

Send Lawyers, Guns, and Money, the Shit has Hit the Fan!

Faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, and more money.

Though I walk through the valley in the shadow of Death, I shall fear no evil,
For I am the baddest motherf@#$er in the valley.

These are some of the more entertaining ive read or heard. Authors unknown.
