Holy shit 🤦‍♂️ Lol

i developed a good round using IMR 4895 and i ran out of powder right when the Kaos all began and ending up being left in the dust. I cant find ANY IMR 4895 so can you point me in the direction on where to find some? IF NOT, then i would like some advice on what powder can still be found at your local bass pro or shooting store if any at all.

thanks
Vv540. It's very similar to varget and H4895. A tad expensive.

Try Alliant PP-2000MR. My sweet spot is 47.5 gr and SMK168 in Lapua cases in several rifles. You would be surprised by how fast the bullets fly with no pressure sign (PP-2000MR is a slow powder therefore has very manageable peak chamber pressure).

I've had very good results with RL15 and IMR4064. I prefer RL15 for 180gr. I'm getting 2670fps at 80 degrees, 2640fps at 0 degrees with 180 partition at 44.0 grains.. I have also had very good luck with 165 grain loads with RL15. It provides good velocity and decent SD (around 12) and ES. 44-45 grains is getting me around 2720fps with several 165 grain loads. I lose about 55fps from 80 degree ambient temp to 0 degrees ambient temp with 165gr loads. I tried a couple 150 grain rounds with RL15 and was losing about 108fps between 80 degrees and 0 degrees. Because of this, i'm not currently loading any 150gr rounds with RL15.

IMR4064 has been excellent with the 165 Partition, 165 Accubond and 165 Interlock (around 2770fps with flat based ones and 2740 with the Accubond). Loads for all three 165 grain bullets are between 45 and 46 grains. I lose about 20fps from 80 degrees to 0 degrees with 4064 and 165 grain bullets. I have not loaded 4064 with any 150 grain bullets since I prefer the sectional density and higher BC of heavier bullets and hardly every shoot the 150's..

Please note, above loads are above the book max (Hornady) so work up slowly and at your own risk. They have no pressure signs in my Tikka T3X. Peterson brass for all loads (Peterson has slightly less capacity than Hornady brass, about .2-.3 grains in the lots i've tested) and Fed 210M primers. Both powders have given me excellent accuracy, SD and ES.
