I've tried a couple of different scopes on it, Vortex, Sightron, all high magnification with 50MM Obj. To me, it looks like overkill, a scope with a rifle attached. I'm only going to shoot out to 100 yards(maybe). So what would be the best scope for the buck for this rifle?

I’ve been really pleased with my SWFA 3-15 for a more compact scope with repeatable and accurate tracking. Low enough magnification to hunt with but you can bring targets in close enough to shoot some great groups too.

Depending on your budget I would just pick up a Vortex Diamondback Tactical or Viper PST in 4-16x44 or 3-15x44. The 44mm objective and shorter optic will probably look a lot more proportional to you and 15-16x should be good enough to see your bullet holes at 100 yards.

totally love out sightron s 3 10x50x60 on my cz its great indoor or outside 100- 300 yards so far I run out of elevation around 350 yards have to start using hold overs and that's with a 20moa rail that or need a 40 moa rail just picked up the 30 moa will try that next for 400 yards even if I have to use hold overs for 5 and 600 id be happy as long as I get there .

I have Nikon P5 2.5-10X 42mm on my 457 Varmint .22WMR. I like it.

Im putting a PST 6-24 x 50 on my son’s rifle for Christmas. It may look like overkill, but if It helps him score hits, that makes him happy and that makes him want to keep going to the range and spend time with me

If all you're doing is 100yd and not trying to light matches, I'd do 3-15 or 2-10, vortex would be my choice, great warranty. Athlon and kronus also budget options.
