Last fall I bought a "new" MPA Custom Competition Rifle in 6mm Creedmoor. I have been having a time getting a load dialed in for it, and for now have settled on 39gn of H4350, Nosler brass, (once fired now), Nosler 105 RDF's at .005" jump, CCI #200 primers. I have kind of been all over the place, but finely figured out that around 40.8 grains, or at 3100 fps, its over pressure. The load mentioned above runs around 3050 fps with an es around 15. I have picked up some Lapua Brass and Hornady 110 A-Tips I loaded for some testing with Federal 205M primers and H4350.
I just recently bought the new Lyman bore cam, and was looking at the bore. Do these pics look like a barrel that only has 183 rounds down it?? the barrel had very heavy carbon deposits I managed to get out with a lot of Bore Tech C4 and finally JB and Kroil! Any advise would be appreciated, I'v not looked at a lot of bore pictures, and while I understand the heat fractures these look excessive to me for only that many rounds. I am wondering if I was sold a used rifle??
These pictures are from the start of the lands to about 1" forward of the chamber.
